COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We rely on age-old tools in the brewery despite being surrounded by high technology. As a sort of compass, we use the six pointed brewers star to help navigate uncharted brews. The cardinal points of water, malt, grain, yeast, hops and a brewer make the baseline. From there anything goes. Sometimes the journey is as important as the destination.

Youll notice a slight bitterness in Compass derived from our use of rose hips accentuated by high effervescence. Drink it cold from a fluted or tulip glass. And by all means, avoid sea serpents.

Bottle from the LCBO. Cloudy pale orangey yellow with a very small white head that doesnt linger. Only faint lace Muted nose with light citrus and floral perfume amidst a light malt. Light caramel supports a medium bitter body with citrus and the rose hips, much more prominent than the nose alone would indicate, adding some spice. Medium oily body with prickly carbonation. Interesting.

Clean, crisp with a slight hop flavor. Finishes like rose flavored tea. Alcohol fairly apparent. Kind of neat.

Bottle: Poured a deep golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet malt notes with some citrusy hoppy notes and light rose hips notes. Taste is a well balanced mix between some citrusy hops notes, a sweet malt base and some light rose hips notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Good beer thought maybe a tad too sweet for my own taste buds.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber-gold with a foamy white head that leaves behind a lot of lacing. Hoppy aroma, lots of citrus, pine, sugar, spices, bready yeast, malt. Taste is crisp and bitter-sweet, of candied citrus peels, sugar, baking spices, bread, malt. Hides the alcohol well. Lingering bready citrus. Interesting and tasty!

Foggy light copper. Minimal head thats gone quickly. A little subdued aroma, actually, probably with the restrained fizz. It definitely promises lots of hops - especially citrus and pine. You do get the rose hips too. Have a sip and the big flavours come to the show - pine, grapefruit, yeasty funk. Bitter. Quite light bodied. Refreshing.

Light haze on this pale gold beer, good white head. Crispy palate. Light malt base, touch of cream. Light citrus, nice orange, grapefruit and mild lemon. Nice sweetish floralness. Something else fruity as well, the rosehips most likely. Light finish. Tasty and very drinkable.

Bomber. Poured clear golden in color, with a medium white head a bit of spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruits, some grain and maybe some malts. Taste is quite sweet, quite Belgian... Fruity and regardless the high ABV very drinkable and enjoyable. Very good beer.

650ml bottle. Hazy golden body, medium beige head with good retention. Aroma of peaches and mangoes, citrus zest, caramel, flowers and leather. Mild taste: honey, peaches, orange candies, medium amount of herbal hops. On the sweet side. Good.
