Eccezionale! stravale (3065) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - JAN 30, 2014

Pitch black, no light through, dark tan head dissipates, some lacing
Aroma - soft roast, rich dark malts, very slight alcohol
Taste - Rich dark malts, mellow soft roast, chocolate, alcohol very well hidden, slight soy, yummy dark sweet malts, so mellow for the abv, soft bitter hops, yum yum malts
Palate - soft carb, full rich body, quite sweet but not too much. Finish very smooth, rich deep dark malts, chocolate, mellow roast, superb soft chocolate caramel malts
Overall - Fantastic impy, very smooth, booze well hidden...I’m liking it more than the Choklat
Dark black, thick pour... Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, oats, coffee... Flavor is fairly sweet throughout, oats, chocolate, roasted malts... Lots of residual sugars, burnt malt notes... Solid

Beautiful thick black pour. Aroma is fairly sweet and chocolatey. Taste is very smooth, chocolate, roasted malt, with some light bitterness in the finish. Very nice.

Black with mahogany edges and only a rim of tan foam. Licorice, molasses and dark fruits on the nose with a lower dose of sweetness in the nose than say, choklat or creme brulee. Flavor is of oats and molasses and dark malts with some nice soily character. The beer is chewy and resonant in finish with a moderate carb and has the potential to fill a belly. The 10.8% ABV doesn’t even shine whatsoever.

The aroma combines hints of raisins, chocolate, booze, and caramel malts, and the appearance is an opaque black color with a small tan ring on top of the liquid. The taste fuses a mild sweetness, slight bitterness, and quite a bit of umami; however, the palate is very indulgent as it combines a medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, and a long malty finish Erikh04 (153) - - DEC 3, 2013
Good stout. Not great. A little on the sweet side. I have found that all of the southern tier stouts I've hade are that way. I liked it better than jahva.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with tan head. Taste chocolate, oats, I thought this was good. I could drink this again.
