Aroma is a *little* muted, but still has enough of that fresh foresty smell to it. Taste is bitter and dry, mouth feel a bit like hard liquor with just a little bit of industrial cleaner. Texture also has some pine needles with syrup (None of the syrup in the taste, though). Boozy. This does not go down easy. Honestly, I love IPAs, and I love double IPAs when I get a chance to get them (Can’t afford the doubles, generally), so it’s not just that this is amped up a little that bothers me- and there are plenty of hops in there, so it’s not suffering from the number one problem with less than perfect IPAs- hop deficiency. Something about the taste profile is just a little weird. Maybe the lack of a bottled on or sell by date is part of the reason why- but if you don’t put a date on the bottle, I’m rating what I taste. The "it’s out of code" excuse only works if I can verify that it is in fact out of code, otherwise, I’m rating what I might wind up with the next time since I have no way of telling what’s what. I usually won’t buy anything that’s not dated in some way, but this was a real good sale and I needed to save money and wanted the tick. It’s also possible that one of their four hop varieties (Which four are unspecified on the bottle) is sort of a rogue hop that I don’t care for. But it’s still not a bad beer. Just an average one. Almost burns the lips like a rough wind. tfontana (1002) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 26, 2015
Bottle from Downtown Discount Beverage, Dover, NH. Aroma is bread and yeast (a little bit like wert), slight fruity hops. Appearance is hazy orange yellow with greenish tinge. Trace sparkle and small white head that dissipates quickly, and mild lacing. Taste is combination of sweet, bitter and sour, (sort of a 50-25-25% split) much like the aroma. Palate is medium bodied with average texture and average carbonation (slight zing to tip and sides of the tongue). Finish is wet and fairly long with mild bitterness. Overall, a nice combination of aromas and tastes but suffers a little by bordering on the unfinished side. Above average appearance and palate but not without faults. 12 ounce bottle with mike at camp. Very good ipa. Not to hoppy of an aftertaste which suits me fine. Will definitely get this one again.

Pine and hop bomb here. Smells boozy and malty. Had a bottle pour at home. Pours gold with a thin tab head.

A gift from a neighbor, poured from a 12 oz bottle. Appearance is orange-amber with a lingering cream colored head. Aroma is grassy, earthy, and light citrus. Palate is light. Taste is fruitiness, grass, and hops. Found it to be pretty good, but not over powering even at 7.3% ABV. N3lson1 (1005) - Long Valley, New Jersey, USA - JUN 7, 2015
Drank from a twelve ounce bottle at the Vault in Scranton! Smells of hopiness and a nice roastiness. Has a nice carbonation feel on the tounge but too hop forward to taste much else. Beersmithbacon (111) - San Luis Rey, California, USA - MAY 28, 2015
Probably best east coast IPA around. Perfect to style, big hops but not xxipa. Piny citrus and floral hop balance. Orange color not big head as enough hop aroma shot through. Fresh hop flavor not killer bitter nice lingering hop finish.
