Pours amber-copper with an off white head and an aroma of barley. Tastes of earthy barley and hops with very little to no bitterness. It’s full bodied with somewhat lively carbonation. The finish is earth and barley. Never had anything like it. Wow, tastes of Midwest agriculture. You don’t drink it as much as you graze and chew it. The barley is rich and resinous and lingers. You notice the grains; not the alcohol. It’s Americana in a glass!

Bottle from Merchants. Aroma is caramel, piny hops, some toffee, some booze, mostly hoppy and different. Appearance is reddish brown, light tan head, clear. Taste is caramel, pine, earthy hops, dark fruit, toffee, spices, it's hoppier than normal but still good. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, bitter caramel hoppy dark fruit aftertaste. Overall, it's different for the style but a nice change. Cakes (500) - New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 14, 2017

Drank from a pint glass, poured from a large bottle. Pours a nice dark coppery color with nice fluffy head. Great aromas from the malt bill on this guy, not overpowering on the spice aroma. This beer is nice and smooth, but has a nice complex kick to it! Cheers!
