COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When Phin and Matt sat down to collaborate on their new beer, they knew it had to be different if they were to call it extraordinary. "Let sprinkle it with fairy dust and wave our magic wands," said Phin. "No way," said Matt, "We’ve got to do better than that. This beer has to be better than any other in the galaxy." "Let’s do some market research." So the two strapped on their rocket pack packs and traveled to the intergalactic beer store. After sampling an array of beers from acrossed the galaxy, the duo hit on an idea. "I’ve got it" exclaimed Matt, "we’ll use vast amounts of whole hops, the finest malt, and put a little more love in every batch." "Eureka!" shouted Phin. And thus became a beer so fresh and tasty the duo put their names on it. 37 IBU’s, 5.6% ABV

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a soft copper color with a slight transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a good pace. Just a cap of a little white foamy swiftly dies off. Stringy lace. The aroma had some soupy sweet fruity hops, slightly bitter, but having a balancing malt bill. The flavor was moderately sweet through the blend. Caramel malts sturdy themselves a bit further down the lane to follow through on the aftertaste and ride into the finish. The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, pretty good APA, a bit old school, but I’d have again.

Floral pale ale. Not too bitter, mild flavor, a good hot summer day beer. March madness 2017

A nice malty beer with a little bit of hop bite. The aroma is week but everything else about this beer is quite enjoyable. Very nice and buttery texture. There is some nice caramel flavor from the malt and there is balance. Just because the hops doesn’t hit you in the face, doesn’t mean it’s a bad beer.

(12oz bottle) AROMA: malt, caramel/toffee, some hops but malt notes dominate, hint of perfume and fermented fruit.. APPEARANCE: medium golden with a little Amber/orange, touch of haziness, light head that fizzes away pretty quick, minimal residual, slight oily film. TASTE: malt driven flavors, smokey sweetness, honey, toast, touch of dark chocolate, not too bitter. PALATE: medium body, round/smooth, relatively soft on the palate, dry finish, OVERALL: quite drinkable, not too heavy, some nice nuances from the malt side of things, not overly hopped, nothing stands out as exceptional, but solid across all parameters. an above average ale.

Bottle from Downtown Discount Beverage, Dover, NH. Aroma is bread, dough, and light citrusy hops. Appearance is slightly hazy golden yellow with nice sparkle, insignificant head and mild foamy lacing. Taste is medium malty sweetness with some fruit followed by dry, long mild bitter finish. Palate is medium bodied with average texture and average carbonation. Overall, a decent amount of complexity with nose and taste with slightly above average appearance and palate.
