Bottle at TSODRBSG 13. Red dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is plums, grain, roasted malt, hop, caramel. Flavour is plums, alcohol, grain, hop, roasted malt, caramel, coffee. Medium to full body. Nice beer. ComradeK (1230) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - NOV 7, 2013
650ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a medium beige head, which lasts well and leaves decent lacing. Roasty malt, coffee, rye toast and a touch of plum make up the aroma. Mild pine hops up front lead into a blend of black coffee, roasty malt and mild, sweet plum in the mid-palate. Plum and slightly bitter roasty malt linger in the finish. On the whole this is pretty good, but the plum perhaps needs to be a little stronger. Funknmilla (745) - Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 6, 2013
Rating from October 2013...Bottle...This beer starts out bitter...the toffee, the coffee, the grains & no plum, what a shame....Pours dark brown with a small head...as it warms up I start to get so....a smooth body that switches to bitter effervescence....a hint of plum shows up...some more cocoa and some bitter coffee and earthy grain taste....a little caramel tucked away as well...kinda hidden in the bitter....not my favorite type of porter, but good VsXsV (4420) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 4, 2013
Bottle. Clear deep brown liquid with ruby hue and small tan head. Aroma of dried fruit, raw sugar, raisins, toffee, bread, biscuit, toast, licorice and light chocolate. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of dried fruit, bread and licorice. Light to medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Bit thin. Smells great but too light bodied. tderoeck (9480) - Gent, BELGIUM - NOV 4, 2013

Clear dark brown beer, big creamy irregular beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit metallic, brown sugar, mocha, dried fruits, plum jam. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: little bitter, grapeskin, mocha, some coffee, overripe fruits, bitter hops. Aftertaste mocha, bitter, dried fruits, red to black forest fruit, jam, chocolate, hoppy, more overripe fruits. Not bad, but not one to remember.
Black pour with a tan head. The aroma and flavor have some nice caramel and roasted malt notes as well as a good deal of sweet plum and other dark fruit. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice. NikkTwist (3200) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 3, 2013
Draft at Khyber Pass. Pitch back pour that showed as a clear red under bright light. Thin tan head leaves some delicate lace. Nice strong dark malt flavors. Rich plum notes. Good spicy pepper finish. Another great offering from Southern Tier. JulienHuxley (5792) - Trois-Rivières, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 2, 2013
Bottle. Opaque black pour with thin off white head. Aroma is fruity, light roasty notes, dark fruits. Taste is sweet, fruity, not unlike an abbey dubbel kinda dark fruit sweet malty beer, very light roastiness. Palate is smooth, med-full body with med carbonation. Decent, a tad forgettable. Here is an imperial porter brewed with plums. The aroma is malty and yeasty, with a dash of tart plums. The flavor: sweet coffee, malt, and a warm tingle on the back end. There is a little compote and caramel too, and it is easy on the hops. A good brew. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - NOV 1, 2013
Pours a dark brown with a fine tan sheet over the top. Smells of plum, quick chocolate cocoa powder, some soil, some black olive. Flavor is fruity with a dimatap character. Some dust, some cocoa, some bitterness and a mint in the background. Not really impressive. Medium bodied with a silky feel and a nice off dry finish - feel of this beer is really good. Overall, nothing special.
