Craft Clapham. Keg. Opaque black - brown beer with a small pale tan head. Palate is light and smooth, semi dry. Fine carbonation. Very light touch of dark malts, no roast or bitterness here. Whisper of chocolate. Mild fruity tang. Smooth but frankly disappointing. Not getting the normal Southern Tier sumptuousness or depth of flavour.
Bottle @ TSODRBSG13, Ulfborg. Clear dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 300813 fiulijn (20992) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 23, 2014
Bottle from Haggen’s Grocery, Burlington; bottled 05/02/13, 1½ years old
Black color with thin persistent beige layer. Delicate notes or roasted malts and cream. The body is drier and thinner than expected; dark flavors, roasted malt, burnt caramel, a hint of coffee, and a light sourness that could be from the fruit.
Smooth but not impressive.
