Heavy raspberry aroma, dark reddish-brown with very little head. Smells very sweet, but doesn’t taste sweet. Medium body, long finish, average carbonation. Not overly sweet for a fruit beer. CockeyeBBQ (12) - Warren, USA - FEB 24, 2010
Good tasting beer. Little to no head. Reminded me of rootbeer a little. The wife didn’t like it. A bit too heavy on the tongue for her. Dark in color. I would drink it again. dalepryor (305) - Paducah, Kentucky, USA - FEB 21, 2010
This has the raspberry aroma, but not much of the flavor. Reminds me of a piece of candy. The flavor contrasts are interesting, but it’s just missing something. mkel07 (5978) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - FEB 15, 2010
355ml bottle. Light charcoal colour with a thin ghostly coating of fine bubbles that vanish quickly. Raspberry aromas dominate as you would expect. Strange combination of flavours that comes across almost like a burnt raspberry pie crust.Sweet and dry. SpringsLicker (3639) - Tennessee, USA - FEB 1, 2010
Thin fleeting head over a dark brown that was substantially thin in color for a Porter.
Good fresh raspberry aroma.
Some fruit in the flavor, not a pronounced raspberry; little else.
Dry finish, light body.

Bottle. Pours a very dark amber with a stable head. Definitely raspberry on the nose straight up. The flavour I found to be too sweet. It’s sort of like a chocolate raspberry syrup, and it’s very dominant of anything else. Quite thin bodied and lacks any depth. jonno (2761) - JAPAN - JAN 25, 2010
A bit of a curio. Nose is lovely with the raspberry jetting off on the back of chocolate malts. In the mouth its much the same though a bit cloying and the raspberry does taste like extract. Still an interesting beer. beerandIT (300) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 25, 2010
First off this is the most unique porter I have ever had. Strong raspberries in the aroma with very subtle hints of chocolate and coffee. Medium bodied. I taste tons of raspberries and in the end I get a strong taste of coffee and chocolate. Not complex almost tastes like chocolate raspberry truffle ice cream I can get at Broosters. bigguns22 (798) - Maryland, USA - JAN 22, 2010
This beer pours dark brown with ruby highlites. Chocolatey like milk chocolate covered raspberries. Flavors are wonderful but palate thin and watery, feels like something is missing. Good beer not great it;s like meat with no potatos, Pairs well with chocolate cover fruit blueberries ROCK!!!! twindog (274) - Hampstead, Maryland, USA - JAN 22, 2010
