It has a deep brown amber color with deep reddish highlights and a big light tan head that fades to a thin cap on top. Very little to no lacing is left on the glass as it slides down the sides of the glass. The aroma has a sweet berry scent. There is a strong raspberry aroma along with loganberry and other wild berries. Also there is a light roasted malty note under the berry aromas and an even lighter hint of hops in the background. Its flavor has a big shot of raspberry syrup over a milk chocolaty cake dough malt base. The raspberry sweetness slides to the finish on a slick palate, where it is met by light leafy/herbal hops. The finish has a light bitterness from the hops and a slight tartness from the raspberry. The body is medium to full with soft carbonation. This is defiantly on the sweet side and unbalanced for a porter. It is drinkable though and I like it but it seems to be more of a fruit beer than a porter.

12oz. bottle poured into pint glass
a: deep amber color with small head with slight retention, reduces to a little lacing cap
s: rasberry tart and roasted malt
t: very nice taste, mostly rasberry and roasted/carmelized malts. Alchohol does show up slightly as it warms
m&d: very nice mouth from this porter, I would almost consider it thin MrPickles (438) - Waunakee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 28, 2012
12 oz bottle from Palmer, thanks Aaron. Aroma of strong raspberry and a watery feel and finish. not so much too artificial.

The beer pours a clearish light brown with a pink tint. Light tan head.
The aroma is super sweet fruit with a finish of tart raspberries.
The taste is bad, its total generic raspberry juice, way to sweet and fake tart.
The feel is really bad, almost watery.
Overall, this beer is generic garbage. Run far away.

Bottle from Plonk. Pours a deer red/brown with a small off white head. Aroma is strong on the raspberry, with just a hint of chocolate. Taste is an explosive raspberry that gives way to some milk chocolate and a hint of coffee. Not bad at all. RayOhm (474) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 23, 2011
we mixed the porter and the raspberry wheat for this rating. it was actually quite good, the sweetness and raspberry flavours mixed with the malts and roastyness of the porter was a great mix. wish they still bottled this. johnnnniee (4405) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 23, 2011

Got this in the Black Booty Bif from ClockworkOrange Thanks for the chance to try this.
Pours a dark brown with ruby/orange highlights when held up to the light. Has a dismal head that disappears to lacing on the glass. Aroma is Raspberry’s right up front, but not as in your face as some raspberry brews I’ve had. Mix in some caramel malt and some roast. I love the way this smells. Taste is a roasty chocolaty Raspberry’s. Again the raspberry is subtle compared to some. Mouthfeel is a little thin. Great smelling brew, taste is good, but I would have liked some more body. I could easily session this one.

Made the 50% rasp wheat and 50% porter mix, which according to the brewery is the same thing as this beer. I quite enjoyed this one, it tastes like chocolate raspberry, quite good indeed. I like the mix better then I liked anyone of the individual beers Davros (3258) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - SEP 30, 2010
Pours dark copper with ruby hints and a small creamy head.
Raspberries are very prominent on the nose, like raspberry puree. Very concentrated. Underneath is a little dark chocolate and a hint of soft sweet roasted malt. Very nice, but I would have liked more roasted malt.
Flavours seem to make up for it, with only an initial burst of raspberry before some soft nutty roasted malt kicks in. Still, I’d like more malt.
Carbonation is too high and ruins what could be a nice malty finish.
