A golden wheat beer brewed with the finest North American malted barley
and wheat. It’s then lightly hopped with the choicest European varieties.
This smooth, crisp golden wheat beer is then finished with a hint of
raspberry. Enjoy this beer any time of year.
The brewery brought this in to the Buffalo Racetrack brewfest. Lagerish mouthfeel and taste, with added injected flavour. Bubbly head and lace. Pale colour. More sweet than hoppy. Passable. I don’t like fruit beers in general and this is a good example.
Tap @ Cole’s. Light gold, next to no head. Nose is raspberry, blackberry, lighty wheaty malt. Smells like it would be overly sweet - not to the point of Lindemann’s but sweet. Flavor is sweet raspberry up front, quickly overtaken by a wheaty golden ale. The raspberry continues throughout but it is in no way oppressive. Long lightly toasted malt, wheat, raspberry finish. A solid beer but January in Western New York seems like an odd time to release this.
on tap @ Coles in Buffalo, NY. 16oz pint. Pale yellow gold in color with faint raspberry in aroma. Very little head with pour. Medium bodied with good raspberry presence. Not a huge fan of fruit beers but this isn’t bad. Would be nice on a 80degree day. 24 & snowing presently here in Buffalo.
