COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean is the ancient city of Tangier. This confluence has made Tangier a cultural waypoint for millenia. From Greek heroes to Cold War spies and uprisings, Tangier has inspired thousands of legendary stories. It is written that before his battle with the giant Antaeus, Hercules rested in a nearby cave. But where myths end, our tale begins. Tangier is brewed as a Session India Pale Ale with spicy citrus aromas and stone fruit flavors. These flavors, with the addition of lightly roasted malts and brilliant hop bitterness, make Tangier a beverage as refreshing as it is exotic. The approachable 4.6% abv yields more time to enjoy the synergy between the tangerine peel and spicy, citrusy, Azacca hops. Enjoy Tangier in celebration of your epic adventure.

This session IPA is a little too light for my taste, and the flavors are way too fruity. This beer is overpowered by the tangerine and other sweet fruit flavors. Thankfully there were only three cans of this beer in the variety pack I purchased.

12oz bottle from Wegman's, West Seneca. A pale amber pour with a trace of white head and light carbonation; some tangarine peel on the aroma; tropical fruit taste - clean and refreshing; with a touch of spice to finish. A pleasant session IPA.

Thin white head of varying sized bubbles. Nice citrusy aroma with some lemon, pineapple, soft bready malts and dandelion greens. Color is a rather light gold. Flavor has lots of herbal flavors along with some strong and harsh citrus bitterness. Grapefruit pith, lemon rind, cereal grains. Minimal malt backbone to offset the strong bitterness. Finishes lingering dry and pasty bitterness. Expected better.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2017 Original rating was done to test the new app. Here’s the real thing. Bottle, Harris Teeter @ Barracks Road. Pours slightly hazy golden with a pop white head. Aroma is biscuit, citrus (without being specific). Flavor is quite plain... biscuit, citrus with a lean towards tangerine at the end. I expect way more out of Southern Tier.
