UPDATED: OCT 20, 2007 Amber body, white head, PNW nose. Sufficient malt backbone to balance what is listed as 153 IBUs (!) I didnít think the banana undercurrent worked that well with a big hoppy beer. Arayaga2 (2188) - portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 13, 2006
UPDATED: MAR 8, 2007 Beautiful red with brownish white head. Aroma is average, and citrusy, and taste is same, with almost cloying sweetness that fades to woody bitterness as it approaches room temperature. $9/22oz Update: This product loses much of its bitterness, and strikes a perfect balance on draft. Last HWOH. Pours a very light amber- more of a deep gold or bright copper and a sticky white head. Aroma of citrus hops, herbal, minty with some pine and a decent alcohol kick. Fusel alcohols and slightly solvent like. Flavor is thcik and sweet with lots of herbal and citrus hops. Pretty good thick sweet malt backbone. Nice overall, but not great. Brilliant coppery orange, with a dark beige or tan head. Very hoppy (grapefruit) aroma, but also a definate sweetness. Citrusy, even smoky bitterness on a slaick, viscous maltyness. Some note of licorace, too. Sticky, resiny aftertaste. Thanks to Springslicker for sharing this one! SpringsLicker (3616) - Tennessee, USA - AUG 5, 2006
Clear deep amber with a tall off-white head. Last shot from the bottle pours yeasty and cloudy.
Big malt aroma supported fully by a grapefuity hops.
Well balanced flavor that follows the aroma. The flavor profile leans slightly to the malty side.
Big body, sticky palate. Iíd like another please.

Pours amber with a scarce off white head. smells of citrus and sweet grass with minor breaddy elements. Tastes of wildflowers with peppery splashes and a lot of alcohol burn. Iím not getting the hype surrounding this one. bigrond (1499) - factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 29, 2006
this beer was very very good. I great american IPA. Strong aroma - it lets you know whats coming. Which is crisp dry hoppy almost syrup. Reminds me of Dogfish head 90minute. and 11% is nice TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 29, 2006
22 oz bottle. Clear orange brown with traces of white head. Sweet floral hops invite. Chewy with a good bitter carb bite, Grapefruit and orange creamsicle. Long finish leaves some pine and caramel. Well crafted showing good balance. Fresh and juicy. jtw (1163) - farmington, Michigan, USA - JUL 28, 2006
22 oz bottle, from either sliffy or black95tt (oops, canít remember! but thanks!) my first impression of this one was WOW.... monstrous malt and hops exude out of the light amber liquid, the malt is quite nutty and has notes of unsalted sunflower seeds; the hops have a huge spectrum. grass, citrus, pine, dirt - very earthy hops flavors as well, ironic considering its name! excellent beer - almost too big for its own britches. donít really notice the 11% but somehow i can tell itís there.... cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - JUL 27, 2006
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2007 22 oz. bottle via trade with OhioDad - Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a light off white head. Very light carbonation and spotty lacing. Aroma is citrus and pine. Flavor is resiny SWEET with a strong hop presence. A tad bit more malt flavoring would ne nice. A medium to full bodied beer. Very nice. Thanks Scott.
