From old tasting notes. Bright golden color with a bubbly white head topping big bubbles. Mild bitter hop aroma. Clean, tangy malt flavor upfront with a faint sweetness. Middle is crisp and flavorful, somewhat citrusy. Light dry hop finish. Brief tangy hop aftertaste. Muggus69 (2807) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - FEB 23, 2014
OLD NOTES OCT 9, 2003
I was quite disappointed with this beer. My old man had recommended it, but I don’t think it really suits my tastes. By no means a bad lager, simply lacks in that certain character that makes a great lager. bozoNZ (784) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 1, 2007
375ml bottle. Pours a bright gold with a decent head. Soapy citrus nose, Sweet & short rather than being anything outstanding ChrisTurner (209) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 9, 2007
Bottle -- Golden yellow lager with a smallish white head that disappears leaving a fair bit of lacing. Pretty much standard lager aroma with a bit of lawn clippings. Watery palate but quite crisp and refreshing. Flavour lacks any real wallop or bitterness, but there’s certainly nothing nasty there apart from a vaguely metallic bitterness in the finish. As Oz lagers go, it ain’t a bad drop. madquacker (1176) - Canberra ACT, AUSTRALIA - JAN 20, 2007
Poured a pale yellow with a disappearing head. Watery and bland, but not a s bad as most aussie macros. Boring neverthe less.

In the bottle from the Coogee Bay Hotel bottle shop. Looks like all the rest- pale yellow with a white head. The head has a fairly good retention in that it remains large long after the pour is over. Has an aroma of lemon soap. The flavor is sweet like flower water. Very mild palate, smooth with low carbonation. Easy and quick to drink. Maybe it’s the awesome location, outdoors on the balcony of the Coogee Hotel overlooking the Bay at sunset, but I’m quite satisfied. beerledgend (1196) - Waterloo, Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 1, 2006
brigh gold colour with big creamy white head. no aroma. pretty much tyipcal Aussie macro. Another misuse of the word "premium"!! Nicko (223) - Ashfield, AUSTRALIA - AUG 31, 2006
Deep golden colour, with lots of initial bubbles and frothy white foam on top. Basic clear Aussie lager aromas and taste, with a bit more hoppiness maybe. Afterfeel is dry mouth. voota (765) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 29, 2006
Pours a deep colden colour, with a very nice white fluffy head with good lacing. Light grassy aroma, simple sweet malts in there too. The flavour is a little more interesting, although the malt profile is again fairly basic, the hops are strong and dont deliver the harshness that you’ve grown to expect from POR driven beers. Nice clean finish, overall a nice basic lager. omhper (25943) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUN 11, 2005
Bottled. Golden colour, small head. Grassy hops up front. Malt sweet with firm but clean mouthfeel. Sugary finish with medium bitterness. Too sweet for me.
