Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 25, 2011
Bottle: from some older notes I recently found:
Brown beer with a light brown head.
Smell and taste are sweet and caramel malty with a better and fuller taste than smell.
Also taste some darker fruits and spices.
Not bad. skortila (5987) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAR 6, 2004
Aroma of roasted malts, sweet, rye, vanilla and fruits. Cloudy, brown coloured with an off-white, thin and lasting head. Sweet, malty, vanilla, fruity and more bitter in the end. Very much of everything and very unbalanced. Alcoholic palate. Hildigöltur (5103) - København, DENMARK - NOV 26, 2003
Dark brown coloured. Quite aggressive with a strong and fruity flavour. Highly carbonated. Some alcohol in the finish. jbrus (4988) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - OCT 9, 2001
Sweet............................................. stouby (4783) - Holbæk, DENMARK - MAY 5, 2008
Bottle at Kulminator.
Brown with a beige head, some lacings. Aroma moderate malty (caramel, dark fruits, smoke and licorice from cask?) and hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Light/medium body.

Bottle. [Courtesy of Papsoe, another great tasting session] Huge thick beige head that mostly lasted. Moderated particles were in flow. Color was mahogany. Aroma was really quit lovely with a mix of pepper, roasted malt, Belgian yeast, prunes, date, liquorish, light sweet wine like and a underlying caramel feel as well. Full bodied with a lively carbonation and alcoholic texture. Moderated to almost heavy sweet. Maybe its only downfall was the slightly unbalanced sweet domination flavor. Overripe fruit like lingering finish. I thought this was quit lovely. 27-07-07 Mads Langtved (2240) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - MAR 4, 2006
Bottled: Dark brown appearance. Some brown sugar in the flavour. Finish is sweet with hints of toffee and chocolate. A nice brew. jfm (1724) - Holbæk, DENMARK - NOV 24, 2003
Dark brown color with a nice head. The taste is Sweet and fruity with notes of malts and yeast. diabel (1723) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - DEC 1, 2002
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2003 very dark colour, the aroma has spickles of fruit in it (like kriek has lots of it), also a bit malty aroma
Soft flavour, also bit malty. OlJuntan64 (1264) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 4, 2002
Dark, murky brown-red, with medium, short lasting, dark beige head. Strong, cured meat yeast, and maltly, even bitter, aromas coming through. Medium to large body that fills the mouth with too many bubbles. I didn't find it all that sweet but more of an unbalanced, raw, stoutish bitter and alcohol flavour. You get the feeling that all the ingredients are there but the whole thing just hasn't been put together right - sort of a work in progress?
