Bottle from andrepintado, many thanks. Hazy dark orange color with huge off-white head. Tropical fruity hops, bready malt in aroma. Solid malty backbone followed by tropical fruity, spicy hops, with light fruity tartness in background. Resiny hoppy finish. Easy drinkable, enjoyable beer. How: Bottle at Taberna Da Rua Das Flores, Lisbon Portugal.
The look: Clear dark amber body topped by a little beige ring of foam.
In long: Nose is floral, perfumy, aromatic tea, overall strange aroma that is hard to describe. Body has an oily texture and it is lacking carbonation, the mouthfeel was totally lifeless. Taste is old rotting tea, some kind of low sweetness table syrup, a weird sensation of artificial flower flavors, cooked apples, other weird stuff. What a mess this beer was. And that’s pretty much when I decided to drink only wine for the remainder of my stay in Portugal. Beers are so bad in Portugal that I went shopping three times to the same beer store before I realized it was actually a hardware store and I was drinking industrial lubricant.
Bottle @ home. Appearance: pours unclear amber/brown with powerful off-white head with good lacing. Aroma/taste: grain, caramel, citrus and floral/herbal notes. Palate: high carbonation, medium body, distinct bitterness, nice dry finish, medium duration, and am watery texture. Overall: ok ipa

bottled in 3/2014. Maybe stored in a warm place for too long, maybe past its best time, which could maybe explain why this bottle was almost a gusher, (ok, maybe in the car for too long, but with enough time to settle down in the fridge). cooked vegetables-nose, mainly broccoli and leek. Tastewise a tour-de-force: bitter-hops-blast forcing the palate into almost post-dentist numbness. Where are all the aroma-hops gone?

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2015 Review according to BJCP2008 guidelines (style 14A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 10-14. AROMA: low hop aroma with a mild sweet malty background and some cardboard and grain hull notes. APPEARANCE: Orange copper color and very hazy (dry-hopping unknown). Large ivory head with good retention. TASTE: fruity and floral low hop flavour with medium-low malt flavour. moderate bitterness that lingers into the aftertaste. finishes dry. PALATE: medium-light body with excessive carbonation. Balanced IPA. Needs more bitterness.
Appearance: Hazy amber. Mid/good lacing
Aroma: Citrus, grapefruit.
Taste: Hops, malt, tropical fruit.

Bu en bouteille de 33cl, couleur dorée grosse effervesnce et peu de mousse, au nez elle ne sentait pas grand chose, mais en bouche petite attaque florale sur le jasmin et d’un seul coup plus rien, très décevant, merci cependant à Ki Ly roi des Hmongs pour l’avoir rammener du Portugal.
