This is a classic IPA, big & bold with a golden amber color. It has a very pleasant hop character that integrates nicely with its smooth malt flavor.

Brewed since summer 2011 at Olde Saratoga in Saratoga Springs, NY for the east coast market, and at Butte Creek in Ukiah, CA for the west coast market.

Bottle; poured a muddy, ruddy amber type color; not very vibrant. Large off white head. Aroma of vegetables, caramel, touch of sweetness, alcohol, with some earth/plants. Flavor had more sweetness than the aroma, but the same vegetable quality. Flavor not bad, but for the style it is a big miss. Ok and a bout as expected for this brand.

Just all around not so hot, except the solvents alcohol, that's a little hot. Way vegetal with little/no aroma, it's a Homebrew gone wrong.

Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a bronze tint and a nice, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pungent grassy and herbal hops with a little malt and a good amount of alcohol. Light to Medium-bodied; Grassy, herbal flavour at first with a pungent metallic, medicinal and almost funky malt flavour with some good hops, but a lot of alcohol and a bunch of bitterness. Aftertaste is quite strong with the medicinal flavours at first, then an alcohol burn hits for a long time afterwards. Overall, a decent IPA, strong as hell and not in good ways, but still some good hop notes. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 23-May-2012 for US$4.49 sampled at home in Washington on 19-August-2012.

Stale grassy hops, tea, and overripe orange on the nose, some oxidation. Hazy copper, medium yellow head, good lacing. Tea and whole orange flavor, peanut hulls, parsley. Subtle orange peel finish. Medium body, alcohol quite noticeable. Fair balance, leans malty if anything.

Bomber from Country Club Liquors. Nose is a little pine and citrus but not really all that hoppy. Lightly hazy copper orange with a big cream head. Flavor is bitter and pine with a small bit of diacetyl. The buttery background flavor really detracts.

nearbeer (5178) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 1, 2012
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2012 22 oz. Clear orange-copper with a lasting topping of creamy foam. Aromas of earthy herbal resin, waxy citrus, caramel and musty grape. Taste is big herbals and resin, husky caramelized grain, toast, citrus and wood pith. Near-medium body is a little too frothy and is well dried by the rough-sawn lumber finish. The choppy finish, plus the large medicinal-herbal taint make this one come off as unpolished and boozy, even at only 7%. Nice potential, but really kind of a mess.
