2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tried at Dunwoody Beer Festival. A nice refreshing summer brew. Nothing to go out of your way for, but enjoyable on a hot day!
Rated on 3-30-2009 (Bottle) This beer pours a medium sized white fizzy head with poor retention, transparent gold body, slow rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The Aroma is wheat, citrus and a hint of hops. The Taste mimics the Aroma. The Palate is tingly and this beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, this beer is okay, but it needs more flavor. The taste did not leave me wanting to drink this beer again. schmidtguy (37) - Englevale, North Dakota, USA - DEC 14, 2012
Not a lot of flavor, very boring on the palate, a dark golden color, feels very loose on the palate, taste is very boring, feels like im drinking a hopped up bud light dnstone (3497) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - MAR 24, 2012
Fresh crystal malt aroma. Golden in color, though not very cloudy. Flavor is just kinda "ehh"...like a pilsner meets a weiss.

10/21/10. 12oz bottle. Clear but very dark orange pour with a small white head. Very absent in aroma and flavor. Wheat Bud Light? What is this?

Bottle: Clear orange/bronze apple juice color with a light white head. The nose is lightly husky with some grain and wheat notes; sweet bread and biscuit. Fairly german influenced, but more on the eastern european block with the cheaper wheat beers. Maybe Croatia cheap. Thin flavor with a nutty finish and an overall vague impression as a beer. Needs something. deyholla (12038) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 21, 2010
Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma is sweet with wheat and light fruit notes. Flavor is similar with the sweet wheat dominating a bit more and the finish is a bit dry. A bit sweet for me. BeerandBlues2 (13719) - Escondido, California, USA - FEB 28, 2010
Bottle. Pours clear orange-gold with a medium-low white head, low retention and lacing. Aroma is grainy, wheat, and straw malt with low noble hops, some flowers and fruity esters. Flavor is malty with a low floral, earthy noble hops, fruity esters, and wheat. Light bodied, moderate carbonation, and a dry finish. JK (6254) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - FEB 7, 2010
Copper color. Apple and a little wheat sweetness. Thin palate. Not very good at all. Not even the color is right. mansquito (6815) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JAN 17, 2010
Pours an unimpressive light amber. Kind of wheat aroma, and the aroma lets you know that it will be quite sweet, which it certainly is. Pretty easy to drink, but ultimately, I would rather drink a beer with more flavor. As with all Spanish Peaks beers, especially if they are discounted to 7 bucks for a six-pack, I worry that they might have been on the shelf for too long.
