COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Hops & Hop extract.
Sold as Münchner Hell in Germany, München in the UK and Premium in North America.
This beer is our speciality. In 1894 Spaten became the first brewery in Munich to produce this brand of light lager. Golden in color with a well-balanced hop-flavor. The full rounded body is a superb balance between hops and a malty sweetness.

Nose is slightly sweet and malty along with grain. Gold and visible through but some haze has started to develop. Flavor is grainy and has some grass in it with moderate sweet malt. A beer thats a normal beer. Enough said!

One of those beers you make a visit to every once in a while. Bottle from brickskeller. Crisp, light, night slight malty character, with a drier finish than I remember. Nothing to amaze the senses, but pretty drinkable, and one of the classic german lagers, IMO.

Wow what a disappointment. I am glad it was part of a mixed 6, so I only have to try one. Corn flavor. Skunky aroma.

A fair lager - light yellow color, very clear with a foamy head. Flavor is fairly malty, with a bit of lemon and metal, and a slight twinge of hops.

Pale yellow, foamy top. Did not care for the flavor that much. At times, tasted like a mouth full of pennies, which I am not a fan of. Seemed average everywhere else.

Pours a light golden yellow, nice thick head. I can really taste the hops in this one. Good carbonation and the taste is balanced. Nice lager, slightly tasty bitter palate. A good lager.

Light gold pour with good white head that fades quickly. Nice grassy aroma with a little bit of hops. Well carbonated, decent balance of malt and hops in the flavor. Bitterness in the finish. Not bad, but I would hate to consider it my specialty.

Pint, on tap at American Flatbread in Burlington. Quite clear pale gold, little head...light grassy/sweet nose, touch of honey and dry herbs but fairly weak...flavor is just not there, quite wet and drinkable but ultimately quite boring, rather thin, touches of caramel and honey just don’t cut it.
