Pours a nice amber color, decent head, some lacing. Some sweet malts in the nose along with small hops. Sour malt flavors, sort of grape. Finishes bitter. rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 26, 2003
Pale golden, bubbly and quickly disappearing head. Aroma is somewhat hoppy. Has a bitter taste, but not a beer to remember. veronika (410) - SWEDEN - SEP 26, 2003
Light golden with a thin head. Looks a little thin. Aroma is bready. Bittertaste, notes of coffe, expected more body. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 24, 2003
Golden with a fine rocky head. Slight spicy aroma with a malty background. Sweetish roasted malt flavour with a discrete alcohol presence. phillymonksman (60) - Ardmore, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 23, 2003
Cloudy amber color with a mild hoppy smell and a watery palate.
Nice bubbly acidy taste. Decent beer for a cold day.

Its a great octoberfest beer. Very light and amber pour, nice with a little bit of hoppiness in its flavor. Medium body. goz (359) - Chelmsford, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 21, 2003
Very light amber pour, small white head that leaves quick and laces little. Aroma is light, some light toast and a bit of flowery hops in there as well. Flavor is mostly some sweet breadiness, a bit of toastiness, and a very little bit of hoppiness. Medium-thin body, light carbonation. Jedsbrew (464) - Rhineland, Missouri, USA - SEP 21, 2003
UPDATED: OCT 18, 2003 Sort of a light brownish amber color with an excellent creamy head and fair lacing. Mild aroma-meadowlike and citrusy. Light to medium bodied, caramely sweet with a tangy note to it and a touch of salt. The finish was pleasant and slightly bitter. This one is my favorite of the current crop so far. DavidP (1748) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 20, 2003
Nice deep brown-red color, off-white head. I liked the sweet malt flavor and the hops nicely balanced it out. This is a pretty average Marzen, but at least it's a quality one. egajdzis (6730) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 20, 2003
Poured a golden amber color. It had a medium sized off white head. The aroma was malty, slightly citrusy hop aroma. It had a dry leathery, yeasty flavor. First Oktoberfest of the season!
