Amber in color. This medium bodied beer has achieved its impeccable taste by balancing the roasted malt flavor with the perfect amount of hops. Having a rich textured palate with an underlying sweetness true to tradition.

Pours a nice amber color, decent head, some lacing. Some sweet malts in the nose along with small hops. Sour malt flavors, sort of grape. Finishes bitter.

Pale golden, bubbly and quickly disappearing head. Aroma is somewhat hoppy. Has a bitter taste, but not a beer to remember.

Light golden with a thin head. Looks a little thin. Aroma is bready. Bittertaste, notes of coffe, expected more body.

Bottled. Golden with a fine rocky head. Slight spicy aroma with a malty background. Sweetish roasted malt flavour with a discrete alcohol presence.

Cloudy amber color with a mild hoppy smell and a watery palate. Nice bubbly acidy taste. Decent beer for a cold day.

Its a great octoberfest beer. Very light and amber pour, nice with a little bit of hoppiness in its flavor. Medium body.

3.1
goz (359) - Chelmsford, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 21, 2003
Very light amber pour, small white head that leaves quick and laces little. Aroma is light, some light toast and a bit of flowery hops in there as well. Flavor is mostly some sweet breadiness, a bit of toastiness, and a very little bit of hoppiness. Medium-thin body, light carbonation.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2003 Sort of a light brownish amber color with an excellent creamy head and fair lacing. Mild aroma-meadowlike and citrusy. Light to medium bodied, caramely sweet with a tangy note to it and a touch of salt. The finish was pleasant and slightly bitter. This one is my favorite of the current crop so far.

DavidP (1748) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 20, 2003
Nice deep brown-red color, off-white head. I liked the sweet malt flavor and the hops nicely balanced it out. This is a pretty average Marzen, but at least it's a quality one.

Poured a golden amber color. It had a medium sized off white head. The aroma was malty, slightly citrusy hop aroma. It had a dry leathery, yeasty flavor. First Oktoberfest of the season!
