4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Well made flavorful amber but I'll call it and orange beer! The best Octoberfest available on the market. Starts kind of sweet but not overly cloying. Well made bier from Germany!
Golden copper with a small white head. The aroma is quite a bit skunky, with some light caramel and toasted notes. The flavor is similar, with some moderate sweetness and some balancing bitterness, pretty skunky though. felsenpils (183) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 7, 2017
12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear, light amber with an off-white head. The aroma is of sweet malt. The taste is well balanced with some of the dark malt flavor coming through as well as a bit of caramel sweetness in the aftertaste. The hop bitterness is restrained, but there is a noticeable alcohol note as it is approaching 6% ABV and almost a Bock beer. This is an excellent example of the Märzen/Oktoberfest style. It is truly a shame that they no longer serve it at the Munich Oktoberfest where all of the breweries have decided to pour the cheaper Helles Lager style in its place. axl (1030) - Lund, SWEDEN - OCT 1, 2017
500ml bottle. Clear, very pale golden with quickly fading white head. Aroma is very light with white bread, herbal hops, grainy malts and light grass. Taste is herbal hops, white bread, grass, lemon and hay. Medium mouthfeel, light carbonation and herbal aftertaste. ghostbeer (241) - Nebraska, USA - OCT 1, 2017
Pours a nice amber. The aroma on this is great, full and decadent. In terms of taste, though, it was only okay. I only bought this as I was told that this is the best Oktoberfest hands down. Meh. OnTheTrail (560) - Virginia, USA - SEP 27, 2017
Pours very clear copper, light brown head, pretty. Artoma is cookie dough, almost sour dough, herbal. Taste is sweet, pretzels, hops well integrated, definitely there but few obvious notes. Mouthfeel fairly light. A light sweetish drinkable beer, quite malt forward.

On tap at Mack's Golden Pheasant Restaurant in Elmhurst, IL., and mug served showing a clear, brownish amber color, with a decent layer of off white froth, and ribbons & spots of lacing. The nose was malty, toasted, subtle yeast, a touch of dried fruit, light tartness, and a hint of caramel sweetness. Medium bodied, with average carbonation, the taste was similar, with some creaminess to the mouthfeel, and modest earthiness and slightly roasted character to the bitterness. Clean, sessionable, and very food complementary. Bacchus66 (875) - South Carolina, USA - SEP 14, 2017
12oz bottle. Clear dark gold with a small white head. Mainly malt aromas and favors, mild hops and caramel sweetness. Lively carbonation, smooth malt finish. ebone1988 (2070) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - SEP 8, 2017
Bottle from Merchants. Not stoked it's green. Aroma is sweet, metallic, earthy hop, wheat, caramel malt, slightly skunked. Appearance is dark amber, almost brown, light tan head. Taste is robust, caramel malt, earthy hops, slight skunk, a deeper flavor and robustness than other Festbier, creamy, good. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light crisp carbonation, slick, caramel malt and slightly skunked earthy hop aftertaste. Overall, it's different from other Oktoberfest I've had, and it doesn't look quite right, but it definitely tastes good. voyageurmike (500) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 3, 2017
