COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first high gravity offering, this imperial red ale has a huge malt presence only to be out shined by its hop additions. Dark mahogany red with a nice fluffy head, the Fire Ant showcases roasted and toasted caramel notes layered between spicy, herbal and fruity hops.

16 oz can. Murky brown with a fluffy beige head. Nose is toffee, grain and faint strawberry. Medium to full body with a buzz. Taste is caramel, sweet pine and clove finishing earthy. Substantial for an amber but goes down easy. I can see this creeping up on you.

Pours hazy copper with a nice buff head. Aroma features toasted malt, resiny hops, and a hint of caramel. Flavor offers resiny hops, toasted malt, and a hint of fresh wood. Where’s the caramel? Oh, it’s a bit shy. Mouthfeel offers typical fizz and body. Ant that a good beer?

Amber with a white head, plenty of lacing, and a hoppy nose. Smooth and mildly-carbonated with a hoppy finish. Some warming.

16 oz can Pours a muddy dark amber with an off-white head. Malty, piney aroma present, but not in any big way. The flavor is big malt and big hop that reminds me somewhat of a softer, smoother Arrogant Bastard. Smooth and creamy body.

Big and burny. Huge hop-malt nose, but the taste is flourishing with boozy warmth. Massive sweet caramel bun middle with a modest orange-glaze undercurrent. Leads to a pleasantly sweet citrus-n-pine finish and a lengthy bitter fade. Tasty but harsh.

16oz can. Hazy caramel color with light tan head. Dry cara el, tea leaf, pine, herbal aromas. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Caramel, tea leaf, pale malt, herbal, pine, nutty flavors---easy finish___good

On tap at Ole Saint. This is a very dangerous beer, super smooth, scary drinks and the ABV is well hidden, be aware.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2016 Pours a hazy copper from the can with fluffy khaki head that leaves good lace. Aroma of mild nuttiness and earthy hops. Taste is more fruity yeast and caramel malts with the hops still there. Booze well hidden, creamy mouth, good stuff.

Can. It poured a murky reddish brown with an off-white head. The aroma is malty caramel, dark fruit and some Belgian spice. Medium bodied. Nicely balanced.

Dark amber pour with an off-white head. The aroma has some caramel and toffee notes. The flavor is very similar. There is some toffee up front with some nutty notes coming through as well. There is some citrus from the hops, as well as some sweet biscuit malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pretty standard American Strong Ale, in my opinion. Appearance is best quality, deep red and hazy with a fine lacing pattern. Wood in the nose along with caramel. Taste is malt driven.
