Poured from a bottle it is a clear amber Colorado with a ecrue head. The aroma is of citrus and the taste is citrus and remains bitter on the palate Iphonephan (7029) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - NOV 8, 2013
From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy amber with an ecru head., Grassy hop nose. Flavors of citrus with some caramel notes. Medium bodied and carbonation. Bitter finish. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - OCT 27, 2013
Shocking that this one clocks in at 10.2%! The alcohol is truly invisible. Deep, glowing amber color. Scarlet, garnet, ruby, and burnt tangerine sparkle around its edges. Small eggshell ring and little to no lacing. Not the hoppy and bright citrus Imperial Red I was expecting. Instead, this one is all about caramel, toffee, brown sugar, and honey. Slight candied orange peel bitterness to balance. Pretty solid American Strong! Glad to have these guys back in the market! tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Sample at prohibition. Pours a fairly clean ruby red-amber with one finger if off-white head and no lace. Nose of roasted malt, caramel, cardboard, mild pine. Medium body, slightly fruity, assertive hop bitterness with a stale hop flavor.

Bottle share. Clear deep red. Strong caramel and alcohol aroma. Taste spices, caramel, rye. Syrupy pour. dreadnord (1012) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Pours deep copper with a thick off white head. Nose is spicy like rye, pine, caramel, candied fruit and some bread. The taste is high sweet and medium high bitter. The texture is soft and creamy at first but fizzy the longer it sits on the pallet. The body is heavy with a long finish. Nice.
