Draft @ the brewery. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty woody caramel toffee vanilla aroma. Sweetish malty woody vanilla caramel toffee flavor. 22oz, red waxed bottle. Poured a deep amber, near brown color with an off white head. Vanilla, chocolate, some bourbon, fruity, toffee, and wood/oak. Lighter alcohol in the finish, but well hidden.

On cask at San Diego Real Ale Fest, Carlsbad (6/12/09), Old Godfather aged 4 months with bourbon oak chips: Pours a mostly opaque dark mahogany with a well-lacing khaki head. Aroma of sweet toasty dark caramel and chocolate malt with nice bourbon oaky complexity. Body starts with good fullness and sweet dark maltiness with lots of oaky bourbon character and a smooth bittersweet dark chocolate finish. Very unique and enjoyable.
