Bottle into glass. Interesting coffee aroma. Pours black with off white head. Medium bitter taste. Full bodied. If you like coffee you’ll like this.

great beer as expected. High quality coffee nose, dark roast. Body and flavor remind me why I like the base so much as it’s still very much a robust porter first, which just happens to be coffee. Solid across the board.

Bottle from Whole Foods Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is dark roast coffee (but fresh and less spent than other coffee beers). Taste is extremely smooth, silky and creamy with the right amount of coffee coming through. Not very fussy. Definitely one of the better (potentially gimmicky) coffee beers.

bigericsports (84) - Berkeley, California, USA - NOV 14, 2015
Bomber poured into a pint glass, pours black with small khaki brown head some lacing. The taste is chocolate, espresso coffee bitter, roasted malt, graham cracker and dark fruits. Flavor is a touch bitter. Not a bad porter.

Strong wet coffee ground aroma, tobacco and tar with dark chocolate. Pours black with small creamy brown head Coffee espresso flavor. Charred wood, chocolate. Caramel malts. Surprisingly well balanced Full bodied with medium low CO2, creamy feel, lingering coffee bitter finish. Coffee is very present in this but very well balanced. Normally not a coffee beer fan. This may be the best one I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ganache (5896) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 7, 2015
Bomber BORN ON 03/06/15. Nose heavy chocolate and dark roast, very nice and rich coffee, grape and plum background, some sugary sweetness but not much, faint vanilla, great espresso overtones, really fat and inviting. Pours sark brown, black in the glass, with a rocky tanned/light brown head, lace. Taste medium bitterness, not really acrid, very earthy, lots of singed and scorched notes, medium fruitiness with plums and red berry, and lots and lots of (pot brewed) coffee. The malt complexity / malt overtones die somewhat in the mouth. Smooth, somewhat soft (this undone a bit by the light acidity) without being velvety. Heavy medium-full body.

Draught at the Speakeasy, San Francisco, CA.
Black colour with a small creamy tan head. The aroma is pure coffee... dark roasted coffee... black coffee. And somehow it doesn’t bother me at all. It’s a miracle. The coffee in the flavour is a bit too much for me. I really can’t get anything else but coffee out of this. Coffee.

Pours black with a khaki head. Coffee, chocolate and roasted malt aroma. Coffee, chocolate, coasted malt and cream flavors. Medium body and carbonation. Coffee and roasted malt finish.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2016 Really tasty beverage. Coffee is gritty and bitter but thick and the Porter is rich and heavy. It’s a lower abv for the flavor and heft of it. Deep coloring and enjoyable. Nice change. Bottle
