Pours a dark black with minimal highlights, a thick khaki head and decent lacing. Aroma of dark roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, mocha and a hint of Worcestershire. Taste is also heavy on the dark roasted malts with a bit of sweetness. Flavors of day old dark roast coffee, cocoa, mocha, molasses, oats, some ash and a smooth roasty bitterness. Finishes semi dry and roasty. Mouthfeel is semi creamy with a medium/full body and moderate/high carbonation. Nice flavorful Porter that shows off the dark specialty malts but has just enough sweetness to keep it from getting too dry and roasty. high_on_hops (809) - Burlingame, California, USA - JAN 25, 2015
Pours a solid black with a foamy brown head bad lacing. It has a great aroma of toast, coffee, and dark malt, with a flavor of toasty malt up front and a semisweet finish over a smooth body.

Geruch nach Johannisbeere und Himbeere. Wenig röstig. Geschmackk dann restsüß. beer-yum (1714) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 9, 2015
UPDATED: JAN 24, 2015 Restrained aroma and jet black colour. Huge body to start gives way to a light, almost delicate, finish. Definitely a US take on the style (but no foul in this case). AAEA (266) - California, USA - NOV 12, 2014
22 FL OZ ($3.99) pretty cool beer, taste is like smokey chocolate. Has a good head to it. pretty good beer, I enjoyed this one. Its sorta tuff so don’t start with this one.

Aroma: 7/10. Ashy, hoppy, with a nice roast-burnt aroma to it.
Appearance: 4/5, pours black with a medium tan head that lingers a while.
Taste: 7/10. Sweet and ashy burnt roast malts, a gentle sourness to it that fades into a light tartness that balances out the ash.
Palate: 5/5. Smooth, silky, pleasantly astringent, with a light bitter finish that lasts. Leaves the tongue tingling and prickling long after.
Overall: 15/20. While nothing here particularly stands out, this is a porter with fantastic balance and harmony to it’s elements. Despite the relative low scoring to others in it’s family, I’d definitely buy this again. It’s not great, but it’s easy to enjoy. toxichop (597) - South Gate, California, USA - AUG 25, 2014
P: black with a one finger tan head that is very thick. S: Roasted malts, caramel, walnuts, cream and light coffee. T: Mainly the roasted malts, nuts light cream and coffee. With a bit of pine in the finish. M: Light with medium carbonation. I really would of enjoyed this more if it was thicker or creamy. O: An enjoyable porter. anthony850 (472) - Andover, New Jersey, USA - AUG 2, 2014

Bottle, shared with Robbie and Grippitis. Dark walnut brown, lighter brown head. Roasty with some nice fruit accents, soft mouthfeel, quite full bodied, with a moderate bitterness and subtle hop presence. A flavourful drinkable balanced porter. beerbaaron (1998) - Arizona, USA - JUL 12, 2014
