Dark black on the pour. Wanted more from the aromas but the taste of sweet chocolate and light coffee and perfect hop flavors makes up for it. A bit silky on the palate.

300ml draught at The Flying Dog. A filmy layer covering a black body. Dotted spots on the glassware. Black malty smell, hints of chocolate and liquorice. Malt-driven taste with moments of dark bread, chocolate, and liquorice. Lingering roasted bitter endnotes. Well bodied. Rounded mouth feel. Enjoying (Stockholm 26.11.2016).

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2016 Marrone sicurissimo con schiuma marrone. Aroma di malto e tostatura molto morbida. Anche al palato morbida con note di caff e malto tostato. Carbonazione leggera. Abbastanza buona e avvolgente.

Bottle. Black in colour, big beige head. Aroma full of chocolate, nuts, liquorice. In taste medium sweet, chocolate, coffee and light vanilla notes. Medium body, soft carbonation, creamy texture. Finish is medium bitter and slightly bitter. Great porter.
