Small yellow head, clear red-chestnut beer. Caramel and sweet-fruity hops, rainwater, rosewater. Fruitiness, bitterness and quite some sweet; but cancelling each other more or less out. Caramel, banana, wood, coloured malts. Almost fizzy carbonation, quite slck, hopoil influenced. Rather well-bodied for 6.1% . Misses a bit of spark. Still in the style amber ale, it stands its own.

Draught sample @ The Rover. Pours hazy Amber with a big brownish offwhite head that leaves lots of thick sticky lacing in the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and slightly fruity with bread, caramel, grapefruit juice, moist grass, pine needles, minerals and peppery lemon zest. Taste is sweet, bitter, slightly malty and tiny fruity. Mouthfeel is soft, round, astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with bread, caramel, grapefruit juice, tangerines, moist grass, pine needles, sichuan pepper and lemon zest. Solid amber. Most likely better fresh.
