Pours an amber color with thin tan head, and thin lacing. A lot of hoppiness and some spicy and floral tones. I would drink this again.

Red in color with a medium lasting off-white head. Grapefruit and fruit aroma. Bitter taste without much malt profile.

Extremely frothy head poured out of a bottle, with a strong hop / caramel aroma. It has a dark deep ambers hue. This is a very unique ale, I find it a cross between a stout and a pale ale. It’s straddles the line very nicely. Nice mash up out of San Francisco.

Pours a slightly hazy pale amber with a sturdy off-white head. The nose is full of peppery spice, mildly roasted malt, caramel and citric zest. The flavour initially is charaterized by citric hops and Munich malts, mild cocoa and earth. The palate is nearly perfect, medium bodied, nicely carbonated, a little watery, and a drying in the finish. It is well-hopped as the zest shines through. Very nice session brew.

Delirium (670) - Falmouth, Cornwall, ENGLAND - MAR 29, 2008
Draught. Pours slightly hazy dark amber with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is a nice mixture of caramel malt and citrus hops. Flavor is likewise. Sticky mouthfeel. Not a whole lot to describe, but it’s a tasty and well-done hopped-up amber.

Pours a dark red amber with a medium beige head with good lacing. Has an abundance of caramel malt with pine earthy hops, dark fruity notes. A medium body with a bit sweet and sticky mouth feel. Sweet caramel malt and earthy pine hops bitterness on the end that linger awhile. Brew seems a bit heavy for an amber style ale but has lot of flavor and good sweet malt character. A good brew.

Aquilo (658) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUL 3, 2007
Color is amber with a thick foamy head that disappears quickly. Smells of grapefruit, mango and candy. A bit too sweet for me. Flavor is more confusing than complex. Hops are competing with citrus flavors, and neither flavor seems to be winning. There is also this annoying candy flavor in the background. All I can say for the mouthfeel is that it is wet. As awkward as this beer is, it is still drinkable, and perhaps even enjoyable. But I won’t buy another six-pack.

Bottle - pours cloudy amber with thick head. Nose of aged malt, grass, and yeast. Smooth mouthfeel. Taste is funky blend of sweet malt and bitter hops. This strangely created a sour finish for this one. Takes a few sips to get used to. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber pour with small head. Hoppy aroma with hint of caramel. Flavor of slight hint of caramel, bitter finish. Decent for the style.

Slight caramely sweet aroma. Nice strong, almost citrus, hop bite. A good strong amber ale.
