Aroma caramel, chocolate, coffee, roasty, vanilla,
Appearance black, tan foam,
Taste medium sweetness, lightly bitter,
Palate medium body, average carbonation,
Overall a little on the thin side as far as moth feel. I get a lot of roasted notes with a light bitter finish. The 9.5% is well hidden making it very drinkable. I would suggest this beer to a friend who is just getting into stouts. keepersj12 (3137) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - MAR 12, 2016
Black with a thin tan head. The aroma is roast malt with chocolate and coffee. The flavor follows with a bit of a burn going down. RhetoricalAns (939) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 19, 2016
Opaque black pour, finger of tan head. Usual stout aroma, chocolate, roast, coffee. In the taste though, the chocolate really comes through most strongly. Quite a nice stout. neongolden (1795) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 9, 2016
(650ml bottle @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Jan 22 2016) Pours black with a moderate beige head and lace. Aroma of lots of roasty malts, some brewed coffee and dark chocolate, licorice, soy and a bit of vanilla, maybe a light oak hint. Palate is fairly dry and very roasted with lots of grains, a bit of cacao and coffee, licorice, light vanilla, not really much bourbon. Finish is pretty dry with roasted grains and some drying oak. Medium bodied, average carb, no alcohol. This is a perfectly decent imperial stout, but I didn’t think the bourbon barrel really came through and there wasn’t much to make it stand out.

Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, toffee and slight tart. Some slight coffee notes. Taste is deep roasted malts, toffee, and coffee. Finished with tart and light clove. Appearance is black with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well. Patrik (915) - Amarillo City, - JAN 24, 2016
Jepp citydave (69) - - JAN 7, 2016
Cocoa and bitterness overpowering in this one. I was hoping for something a bit more complex. TimE (6076) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 27, 2015
Pitch black color. Low carbonation. Lots of roasted malt and very bitter but lacks a bit of complexity. A bit boozy finish. patricks110 (2556) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 27, 2015
Rich and heavy with tons of chocolate and a bitter, robust roasted malt. Pours a completely opaque black with a thin tan head. Nice aroma of light vanilla, liquorice and tons of cocoa. Smooth and heavy with a good balance.
