Bottle from the Co-op in Davis, CA. I’ve never been a huge fan of rye beers. It is solid with full hop character, but that rye flavor just turns me off. Pretty big on the palate. If you like harsh IPA’s then try it.

[email protected], Umeå (backlog). Amber colour with a longlasting mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some resin and mild pinelike notes with some grains and mild toasted notes. Flavour is rye bread, some spruce pine and mild spices as well as some floral and mild grainy notes. Doesn’t sound appealing maybe, but was actually surprisingly nice.

Mostly clear red-brown, small tan head. Aroma malt with a bit of spice and citrus. Medium-light body. Fairly dry flavor, some sweet malt, some spice, some hop background. Pretty good balance. Decent overall.

Fra flaske på Bishops Arms Kiruna 30 Apr 16. Dyprød. Høyt luftig skum som daler sakte. Pene filigranser. God aroma av skog & bær. Smaken lett maltig. Bra - men lite variasjon.
