3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Johnny Farina, Ottawa, ON
Aroma: A mix of citrus, cheese, hints of banana and vanilla. A very complex mix of aromas that did not hint at Pinapple for me.
Appearance: A nice clear copper coloured. Average fizz and a nice white head that lasts.
Taste: Bitter... real bitter like a nice ESB with hints of sweet, especially in the after taste.
Palate: As complex as it’s aroma... feels liek afull body, with a slick texture, average carbonation, a long bitter finish ending on sweet. You can taste the sweet fruity foundation hidden behind the ESB. Did not feel like a Pale Ale to me at all.
Overall; Love it, it was much better than anticipated. Looking forward to try again. Hat’s off guys... you can be proud of your elixir!
This ipa poured a light amber colour with a creamy, off white head. Scents include must, oats and leather. Light lacing. First swig was malty with flavours of tea and light fruit. Finish was a little bitter with that musty tea flavour lingering. Bennyss (48) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 28, 2017
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2017 Excellente Pale Ale. Petit goût de noisette, nez léger noix, bois. Col léger. BrewWhatIWant (323) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 14, 2017
Pours deep amber with a thin white head. Aroma is malty and, as expected, full of pineapple. Taste is bitter with moderate sweetness underneath. There are notes of pineapple, nutty malt and grapefruit rind. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. It’s got plenty of depth but it’s a little disjointed. 97hill (230) - - JUN 10, 2017
Yup this is really good.
Got the hint of pineapple seemed appropriate on this first real summer day.
Very solid pale ale taken up a tick.
Typically not a fan of flavoured beers.
Buy this one it is real good.

Pours a very thick frothy and bubbly head that stays for a while and dissipates to a thin layer. Has a pretty cloudy golden amber appearance. Good lacing. Very strong floral and citrus hop aromas, of the cascade variety. Flavours are mainly citrus hops with lots of tangy orange and mild mango. Also a fair amount of floral hops and a bit of light spices. For a beer brewed with pineapple juice, it is very well blended as to being slightly faint. Notes of malted barley, pine, and toasty malts. Slight tingling and warming sensation. Medium bodied, dry hopped. Really good and has a nice bitterness to it.

Keg at Ottawa Winter Brewfest. Disclaimer: This event used plastic cups, which may have prevented my ability to fully appreciate this beer. Hazy dark amber, mid sized head. Cardboardy nose. Mid sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Cardboard and... wet paper. Metallic finish. Eh. tomer (3845) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - APR 25, 2016
At a tasting, thanks, small stable bubbly head, hazy orange color with yellow taints, aroma of fruit Popsicle and some citrus, flavor of melon with some herbal bitterness and a hint of soapiness. Nice and easy but not too complex. DSG (15403) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - APR 10, 2016
Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks troubles. Hazy golden. Aroma of slightly stale citric hops. Flavor has a bit of sweetish malt, and bitter citric hops, a bit stale. Medium-bodied. radiomgb (2686) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 21, 2016
355ml bottle. Golden orange in colour with a good sized and long lasting white head, good lacing. Aroma is of light pineapple, lemons, some grains. The flavour is earthy, floral, light fruits and citrus. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter, some hop. Just ok in my books, seems a bit fake. 0.5 draft. Delicately hazy, light brown color abd a small, off-white head. Aroma of hops, pines, flowers. Taste is rather hoppy, floral, a tad bready too. Medium body, slick texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish is sweeter, more balanced, seems more consummate. Overall not a bad beer but it did not strike me as particularly awesome.
