On tap at Milos’. A tasty and fairly well brewed beer to be sure, but this was one of the few times I found sweetness a bit cloying. I mean this mostly in the sense that it overshadowed some of the beer’s better qualities underneath. Lots of dark fruits and caramel, but it feels all a bit too syrupy on the palate. The aroma is fairly standard and a little dull but overall I think I would get it again Sammy (12967) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 10, 2013
On tap at Bar Hop Dark Days. Spciy and sweet. I could drink this, but way too much going on. A little cloying. rob6239 (677) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 24, 2013
On tap at Pepperwoods beerfest. Pours great brown colour with slight off-white head. Aroma seems to have some spice. Taste is strong sweet with some bitter aftertaste. yrstruly (359) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 8, 2013
On draught. Pours deep brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of strawberry, fig, dried fruits, and some toffee. Taste is fairly sweet, with dried fruit and roasty malt predominating. Nice and clean on the palate, not too syrupy. Slight herbal-spicy hop finish. Interesting beer and definitely unique. beanmedic (348) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2013

On tap at Imbibe. Clear deep brown with a thin head. Aroma of toffee, slight spice, and dried fruits. Taste is very sweet, with toffee, treacle, and burnt sugar. Dry aftertaste with a slight bitterness that creeps up over time. Full-bodied. Bonus points for originality on this one; I can’t recall ever tasting a beer quite like this. pootzboy (1823) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 30, 2012
On tap at Imbibe: pours a dark clear brown with a decent 2 finger cap. Aroma is grainy-roasty, sweet with some fruit and an earthy funk. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. Flavour is slightly sweet without being cloying, enough hop presence to make the fuity sweetness work, the roastiness comes out in the finish where it dries slightly. I like brown ales and this one stands out for its delicate dark fruitinss and light spicing. A good quaffer, I’ll be back for more. lukin (672) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 29, 2012
draught. Ruby-earthy colour, almost no head. Aroma of dark fruits, some spice. Taste is sweet malty, light body, berries and earth and spice. Enjoyable, very easy to drink. mabel (10004) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 28, 2012
[4571-20120623] Tap. Fruity light banana malt tang aroma. Hazy, dark red amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Toasted fruity malt flavour has just a hint of banana syrup. Medium body. Interesting to sample. (6/3+/6/3/14) 3.2

The beer pours a semi-translucent brownish-red colour with a thin tan ring for a cap. The aroma is nutty malt, spices, and fruit. Almost christmasy aroma. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is sweet malt, some caramel, and a very bitter chocolate finish. The raisins are definitely shining through the flavour.
