Clear golden colour, white head. Yeasty aroma, banana. Malty flavour, yeast, light sweet. Sweet malty finish, banana. Surprisingly the best of the series for me.thewolf (12597) - Kolding, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2014
(from 75cL bottle @ Camping RateBeers. Thanks for sharing, RateBeer crew!)
Bottle. Pours clear golden with a small, creamy white head. Aroma has esters, malts, oranges. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has dryness, mild malts, kinda sweet, still a hint of leather. Alengrin (5371) - BELGIUM - OCT 13, 2014
Another one in the "special yeast" collection for Delhaize, again in a limited edition of only 8000 bottles of 75 cl. Off-white, firm, quickly thinning head, pure golden blond colour with light haze. Aroma very fruity, orange, apricot, banana, pineapple, grapefruit, bread, honey, white pepper; taste fresh sweetish fruity in onset, orange peel, peach, rather strong carbonation, minerally, smooth with honeyish and caramelly maltiness, finish yeasty, a bit alcoholic and above all very hoppy, long and bitter, like the other ones in this series. Intended to allow the consumer to discover the impact of different yeasts on beer (they did the same thing with hops and wooden barrels) so, although very enjoyable as such, best compared with its three congeners. EddyBeer1 (1058) - Brussels, BELGIUM - SEP 19, 2014
Blonde dorée claire, effervescence moyenne, col blanc crémeux. Principalement maltée, légèrement fruitée, présence de miel, quasi pas d’amertume. Sans intérêt si ce n’est de la comparer aux autres.

First sip made me think this would be a drainpour, but than, with every sip it got a bit better which results in an ok beer. bartlebier (3982) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - AUG 6, 2014
75cl bottle bb09/2014 shared @Tristate Tasting II, Freiburg. Some pear and apple struggle to surface from a chemical, laden pale malt bog. Dry taste and palate saves drinkabilty, but ruins character. Oh those fruity monks! (Last one of the series and beginning to doubt whether these were stored properly...can the refermenting yeast turn so bad that even the malt base starts tasting cheap and chemical?)
