What turgid dishwater. I was in a bar with only 6 options, all poor, so was swayed by the word Distinction. No aroma, flaccid mild caramel sweet maltiness and a waste of a beer

Tasted 4/2/2014. Draught at "Pig & Whistle", Rotorua, NZ. Poured a clear coppery amber with 3-4mm of off-white head that diminished quickly into a collar. Laced well. Carbonation low with medium to large bubbles. Aroma subtly of malt if anything at all. Taste of strong sweet malt but no real bitterness. Light body. Smooth, soft with slightly sweet finish. Virtually bland - not distinguishing itself in any way!

Bottle. Pours a mid brown colour and with a white head, malty aroma and a hint of toffee, taste is a touch sweet with a dry finish.

330ml bottle. Aroma of sweet malt. Pours red golden brown. Moderate body and slightly bitter sweet aftertaste. A good session beer.

The head is ok, the body is brown. It smells sweet, grain, strange. The taste is malty, dry, mild, bit watery. 11/9/8/8/-/9

Its an average beer not really as good as summit, gold medal or 3 hop pilsner but can manage drinking it.

Not sure what happened here, this beer used to be a 5%, and a decent one at that. Its now been re branded and knocked down to 4%. Its so dissapointing as the original 5% was decent. This is junk.

330ml brown bottle. Label states 4% ABV. Reddish-brown pour with moderate cream-white head. Simple aromas of caramel malts and floral hops. Taste is sweet butterscotch with mild hop bitterness. Smooth short palate with medium-light body. OK.

Soft malty caramel beer which has very little carbonation. Used to be a staple when growing up, but sadly has not improved with age.

Bottle. Bright amber with a modest off white head. Aroma of caramel and nuts. Taste is sweet with toffee and modest balancing bitterness. Slightly spiced at the end. Straightforward and OK.
