12 oz. bottle shared by Keir - thanks again, Keir! Bottle #4 of 7. One of the rarest bottles of all time! Pours a deep, dark, nearly opaque hazy brown, near black, with minimal dark tan head settling into a thin ring. There's a lot going on here, and I know I'm well beyond this beer's prime. The spice stands out, peppery and earthy, with wood, dark chocolate, roasted malts, red grapes, dried berries, booze, molasses, and charred oak. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a muddled roasty, sweet, tangy, earthy, and spicy mouthfeel. Interesting stuff I would've loved to try fresh. Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus, thanks for the bottle James! Opaque black color, average sized light brown colored head. Aroma is quite complex: malts, dark malts, cherries, red wine, wood, tart. Flavor has it too: malts, dark malts, cherries, tart, oak, red wine, some alcohol, dark malt roast and light peppers in the distance. Quite complex and blends well together, but heavy too. Glad I shared this bottle, think lights might have gone out if I hadn't. DutchDrebus (6406) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - NOV 30, 2017
Bottle @ benzai. Dakrk brown to black colour with a small beige head. Smells alcohol, fruit, cherrypeel, sourish. Tastes sourish, blueberry, cherry peel, red wine, oak/wood. Sorry, don’t like it. Full body, soft carbo. jake65 (4034) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - AUG 5, 2017

RBSG 2016, Grand Tasting. Bottle, with a cool custom label featuring my OCD label collecting pal James in the same shirt he is wearing on this very day! Dark brown, amber highlights. Aroma of roasted malt, barrel traits, and peppers. The palate is a nice blend of rich stout, subtle peppers without heat, balanced barrel character with a nice acidity in the finish. Complex and really tasty. Travlr (27139) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 25, 2016
Bottle courtesy of jtclockwork who immediately removed the label. Dark clear brown color, scant head. Nice cocoa aroma. Taste is boozy milk coffee. Extra appearance point for the name. Minus one appearance point for the missing label. cheap (6296) - CHINA - JUL 23, 2016
Big thanks to you know who for bringing this to the RBSG2016 grand tasting. Interesting name, no? Nice unique odd musty aroma. Big & black. No co2 in this one. Even without co2 I detect something cutting on my palate. Taste readily defies the supposed alky content. In the middle its rather fun and slightly tart. Better than expected. Turned out to be a quite yummy experience. Big thanks Jt for the chance to taste this. AdamChandler (5252) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 23, 2016
Nearly black in the glass. 1 finger tan head. Smells like raisins in a glass. lots of syrup and raisin. Sweet cherry, raisin, apple, molasses, even some prune juice as well. sticky, almost cloying, really nice though. great job and congrats JT!
