0.5l can courtesy of ogivlado (thanks!)Emil (6064) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 11, 2005
Poured a nice brown cola-like body with a white head that went away at a medium pace. MIld caramelly nose, bit malty. The taste is unfortunately also mild and watery. Caramel, malt (slightly roasty), light breadiness... hop shows up stronger than expected but only near the end and in the aftertaste (still far from mind blowing). All in all, what could’ve been a nice beer is ruined by a body that’s way too light for its own good. Pleasant, drinkable but dull.
Bottle. Ruby colour with a big baige head. Malty, metallic, fruity aroma and a sweet malty, light roasted, fruity taste. Medium body with a sweet finish. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - OCT 31, 2015

Darkish red and poured with a big head

and quite well balanced. Not exceptional but better than I had expected. visionthing (5534) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 20, 2014
50cl can from Systembolaget, Strömstad. Pours clear copper coloured with an off-white head. Malty and caramelly aroma with hints of dark dried fruits, roasted malt and herbs. Fairly sweet with modest malty flavours and a quite mild bitterness. Fairly standard, too sweet and too boring.

Can from IKEA rated from notes. As a winter beer the lack of spicing was a bit disappointing but as a Vienna Lager it was alright, plus the price was cheap. djoeye (5210) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 23, 2014

Brown clear body, red tunes, beige to light brown tight head, some laceworks.
Scents; malt, apple, grass, nuts, faint marzipan - no xmas spices though.
Taste; malt, grass, raisin, chocolate or cocoa notes.
Ok carbonation and feel to palate. Mild warming end with chocolate malts, dark bread. Overall tasty, but some yuletide spices would defend the "julbrygd" title in a better way.

Bottled. Reddish brown coloured. Aroma of malt, prunes, caramel and raisins. The same notes is in the flavour. Medium bodied. Decent, but too much aroma and flavour of prunes for my likings. jbrus (4988) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - DEC 1, 2008
Can@Home. Malty aroma with toffee notes. Dark amber color, beige head, good lace. Sweetish, light bitter, dark malts, butterscotch, light herbal. Flat and a bit metallic. OleR (4849) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 27, 2008
Canned. A big airy, lightly tanned head upon a clear brownish red colored body. Clean, nutty caramel aroma with sugary notes. Sweet , burned sugary malt flavor. Not sticky, quite crisp actually. But there is almost no bitterness to deal with it, only a touch of acidulous fruits. Well-bodied. Slick mouthfeel. Sweet finish.
