Canned. Dark reddish brown, very little head. Caramel aroma. Sugary, but not extremely sweet. Mediun bodied with some crystal malt character and slight late bitterness. Still dominated by toffee and caramel. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 24, 2003
Amber color with an ok head. There is not much aroma, but maybe it brings some sweetness. Has a rather weak flavor, a boring beer...

Bottle. The foam is beige, compact and finger thick. The colour is dark ruby.Finn (7547) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 2, 2007
The smell is quite mild, malty and somewhat sweet sour with some notes of crisp bread.
The carbonation is quite strong with small bubbles as it should be in a Swedish Christmas lager.
The taste is malty with some sweet notes. The slowly growing bitterness got some burned and fruity notes. The finishing taste is gentle and dry.
This is a quite discreet dark lager. On the other hand, if a beer should be able to accomplish the Swedish yuletide smorgasbord with its smoked, salt, sweet, sour and peppery tastes, it might not be too robust.
Bottled 0,33l. Dark red brown coloured. A creamy head. Rich malty aroma and a sweet bitter flavour. Ending in a sweet way. Thanks to Rune for the lunch invitation and the beer. larsga (7539) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 8, 2009
Big yellow-beige coarseish head. Barely translucent dark red body with carbonation. Fruity roasty buttery aroma, kind of weak, with chocolatey papery notes. Dry-sweetish roasty buttery wild berry taste kind of clashes with itself, and with the dry roasty papery cinnamon aftertaste that follows. Some raisins and coke, too. Mid-to-full body. Decent, in a way, but didn’t enjoy that much. (0.5l can, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.) DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 18, 2009
Can, New Year’s Eve. Ruby with white lid, specks of lace. Soap, caramel, cooked malts, possibly faint English hop aroma. Crunch of locust bean. Gentle berry fruit, soapdish, wax, caramel, biscuit. Bit of shampoo bitterness. Polite, competent, dull. Something like a tinned Czech dark. No glaring off-notes. Splash of pasteurised Shep Neame. OK I suppose. Can, 0.50l. Clear pale amber color with large frothy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of cereals, bread, toffee and dark fruits. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel malt, follows by bready and sour fruity notes, while finish is mild bitter. Light to medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Pretty average julbrygd...
