my mate sebastian bought this at ikea in berlin of all places. looked like coke and smelled of rye and brown sugar. drinkable enough. hinted at rich roasted flavours but never really delivered. if it had a bit more kick to it it could be quite a good beer oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - DEC 22, 2005
Canned. Dark ruby red colour with beige mediumsized head, which disappears quite fast. Aroma is like sweaty socks at first, but after the beer has settled for a short while you can tell sweet malts with some spicy and roasted hints. Flavour is strong hops, but at the same time plummy and some roasted malts. Aftertaste mainly hoppy, with also some weak roasted malts. Positive surprise from Spendrups! Bottled. Reddish brown coloured. Aroma of malt, prunes, caramel and raisins. The same notes is in the flavour. Medium bodied. Decent, but too much aroma and flavour of prunes for my likings. Capa (3301) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - DEC 20, 2007
Clear brown in color. Slightly sour, malty, caramel, and some chocolate. Finish is slightly bitter and cocoa. Thin body. Pretty boring but it is easy to drink. Marko (5718) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 28, 2008

Poured a nice brown cola-like body with a white head that went away at a medium pace. MIld caramelly nose, bit malty. The taste is unfortunately also mild and watery. Caramel, malt (slightly roasty), light breadiness... hop shows up stronger than expected but only near the end and in the aftertaste (still far from mind blowing). All in all, what could’ve been a nice beer is ruined by a body that’s way too light for its own good. Pleasant, drinkable but dull.
0.5 l can my friend Matej brought from Germany, thanks! It poured reddish brown body with tiny head that even couldn’t stay up long. White grapes, some caramel aroma, slightly sourish and vinous. Bitter and very slightly sour flavor rather than sweet, some caramel and wood. Thin bodied with very short, interestingly, sweetish caramel finish. Shows also some bitterness here. Fine in a special way but oh so watery. rarbring (2294) - Linköping, SWEDEN - DEC 5, 2012
Aroma: The smell is mostly sweet grain, dark bread.Turtles (2664) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 30, 2016
Appearance: The beer is clear deep red amber, has an off-white head that dissipates quickly. leaving uneven floats - but good lacing.
Taste: A slight sweetness, malty grains, a rather rough short bitterness.
Palate: Low carbonation, a bit watery, a thin body and a slightly dry finish.
Overall: Sorry, this did not make it for me.
Note: Can 500 ml. Reviewed 2010-12-16.
500ml can from Systembolaget. Clear mahogany, creamy tanned head, good lacing. Caramel aroma, citrus and bread. Light-bodied, medium carbonated still a bit too sharp for the thin body. Watery caramel taste, dark syrup, hints of orange, bread and grass. AndySnow (7646) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - MAR 30, 2017
