Can. Morrisons. 80p! Very dark, ruby red. Thin, fully lacing, lasting, khaki coloured head. Nose has raisins and caramel. Some apple. Some brown sugar. Granary crust malts. Taste has a little buttered bread sweetness. Vinous, earthy bitterness. Lots of bitterness, actually. Soft and slightly sticky mouthfeel. Earthy hop bitterness to finish, with some dryness. No idea if this is true to style, but it’s pretty enjoyable, particularly at the sub nicker price. HenrikSoegaard (14710) - Randers, DENMARK - DEC 28, 2017

Very dark mahogany coloured beer.zacgillbanks (5659) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - DEC 24, 2017
Aroma is dark rye bread, coffee, roasted malts and burnt caramel.
Taste is all of the notes above but with a citrusy twist.
Mouthfeel is light and very drinkable. Low bitterness. High carbonation.
Overall: A dark lager by the same brewery (unfortunately owned by Spendrups) that makes one of the cheapest and best light lagers in Sweden. Basically a dark take on that beer. Good roastiness, taste and really easy to drink but if you're looking for something complex, don't bother!
Can from Morrisons, Birtley, Gateshead. Black-brown with a thick tan head. It has a malty, chocolate and grassy flavour followed by roasted notes and slight fruit on the finish. Good. tommann (4026) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 20, 2017

Christmas themed beer night. Bottle from Morrisons, Walsall. Dark brown beer with large head. Aroma of brown bread and dark toffee. Taste is brown bread, dark malts, dry biscuit and burnt malts. Decent. rauchbier (3949) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2017
Can, from Morrisons. Muddy red-black, thin but creamy and sustained off white head and low condition. Barely discernible spiced nose, low powdery spice notes in the mouth with some slight toffee sweetness and a hint of hops, short finish with a powdery dryness. More of a christmas dirge than a carol. 330ml can poured into a lager glass. Appearance is clear dark brown with a medium sized foamy light-brown head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malts, brown sugar, nutty notes and a hint of citrus. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium bodied, soft texture and average carbonation. A decent dunkel overall. Turtles (3092) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 3, 2017
330ml can from Systembolaget. Dark brown pour, dense tanned head, good lacing. Not too much going on in the aroma, mild roasted, chocolate, sweet malt and bread. Clean, light mouthfeel, low carbonation. Starts fairly smooth with a mild roasted taste, bread and citrus. But have a harsh bitter roasted finish.
Ok.
