Bottle, picked up at the brewery and consumed on the main drag of sulzbach watching the town’s annual parade led by a band of Scottish bagpipers. A really good mix of all the possible helles flavours which seem amped up a bit. There’s some caramel, menthol, hay, honey and red berry with a chewy texture. A good reminder that with a helles, being usually subtle (read dull), the only chance of it being interesting is if it is super fresh? One of the most vigorous and intense helleses I’ve tried Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 19, 2009
Draft @ brewery. Deep golden/bright copper with great head and lacing. Aroma is fruity with apples and bananas. Crisp, dry, fruity at the same time. Clean potable palate has moderate to high carbonation. Nice nutty characteristics. Medium body. Has sweet grain character that lingers on the tongue and is a bit sweet but manages to refrain from being cloying. A pretty substantial helles. Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 21, 2013
It’s dark golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of grain, bread and fruit/flower. The flavor has a light sweetness and soft notes of grain, bread, flower and light fruit, and the finish is slightly dry. Lovely. rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 27, 2014

Day 1 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, tap at Sperber in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, 24/01/14. fly (1487) - austin, Tejas, Texas, USA - AUG 12, 2003
Very lightly hazed golden with a moderate white head.
Nose is caramel, straw, earthy, light hops.
Taste comprises light citrus, grass, caramel, straw, earthy.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, clean close.
Crisp, pleasant beer that I wish I had a few days ago when the temp was 110. Said it before, but if the light lager makers here were making fare like this, the word "swill' would NOT come in to play. Refreshing, light and enjoyable. AndySnow (8162) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - JAN 30, 2014
