16.9 oz bottle. Pours a clean copper, I really had to muscle this one to get any worthwhile head from it and what I got disappeared quickly. Aroma is fairly light, but very pleasing. Smells like my clothes after a night of sitting around a campfire. Good caramel malt aroma with some light floral hops. Smoke scent gets stronger as beer warms slightly. Mouthfeel is a little watery, this one could use a little more of a malt backbone. Smoke flavor really comes out in the lingering finish, but there also a little bit of some cardboard and a metallic taste coming through. Really tastes much like the liquid smoke food additive. Overall one Id recommend you pick up, especially if new to Smoke beers, not quite as in your face as it could be. If youre used to throwing down Aecht Schlenkerla beers, move on.

Draught. Clear orange coloured with an off white head. Aroma of malts and hops with notes of smoke. Flavour of malts, smoke and caramel. Long hoppy finish.

Huge smoke in the nose -- HUGE. Smoked beef and baked beans. Yum. And something else too - just cant put a finger on it. Almost like your fingers after making a fire. Beautiful deep brown appearance with long-lasting head/lacing. Relatively thin and easy to drink -- but I did just have a Rochefort 12... Nice job.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark copper and very clear. Not much aroma. Flavor is grainy with very weak hints of smoke. You need to know that it is smoked to notice it. Dry finish.

Pours a clear orange amber color with a thick diminishing white head. Aroma of Bamberg smoke malt that always reminds me of smoked ham, fruits are also detected in the aroma. Flavor of Bamberg smoked malt and fruits but it feels very light, which is not what I expect from a rauchbier. This reminds me a bit of Schlenkerla Weizen which is a lighter version of their delicious rauchbier. The potential is definitely there, I might like the other offerings from this brewery.

Disappearing white head on a hazy amber colored body. Moderate smoke malt aroma with tones of fruit and salami, well-balanced. Hidden smokey flavor, rather sweet and candied but tasty and balanced. A nice and easy smoked!

Bottled. A chestnut brown colourd beer with little pools of grey head. The aroma has some smoky bacon notes but it is fairly subtle. The smoke comes through a lot more in the taste. However this is not overpowering and is easier to drink, albeit not as good as, the Schlenkerla beers. If anything it is a little on the sweet side.

An amber beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is slightly smoked combined with notes of caramel. The flavor contains lots of caramel as well as some smoke. The mouthfeel is very smooth, but the body is thin. A very easily drinkable and enjoyable beer.

Oh yeah.poured a dark amber almost orange color.Lots of smoke flavor.Tatsed like i was just at the butcher and had some smoked meats.MMM liquid smoked meat with alcohol, what can be better.I now crave a steak.

Hazy orange pour withy medium white head. The color of non-filtered iced tea. Aroma of huge corn flakes, malt, hopcit. Tastes very corn flakey, with caramel malt, and a subtle rauchy finish. Medium palate, and very complex. Perhaps the most subtle rauchbier Ive had. Like drinking liquid Wheaties in a campfire. At any rate, this one is damned delicious!
