Bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouvermcberko (17840) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 23, 2014
Dark brown color with small head. Aroma of dark bread and light aroma of coffee; roasted flax, impression of vomit. Smooth mouthfeel, quite lean; dry chocolate flavor, ordinary bitterness.
650mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of dry cocoa and metallic notes. Flavour brings out cocoa notes, vanilla, and some metallic notes. Thin, but nicely flavoured. It’s okay. Oakes (17680) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 13, 2014
Dark brown. Sweetish slightly chocolatey aroma. Sweet but thin, touch of chocolate, kind of a simple beer, but it’s not bad. Ferris (15288) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 11, 2013
Bottle - Dark fruit, some roasted malts and some sourness. Muddy opaque brown with no head. A really odd porter, with the odd ingrediants giving in a light roasted flavor, some sourness and oak. Very light body and no bitterness and a bit flat. Could be a bad bottle. reebtogi (6270) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 16, 2013
650ml bottle pours almost black in color with a finger of light beige head that leaves very little lacing on the glass. Aroma is light chocolate with some grass and grains. Taste is a grainy malt sweetness with some grassy hop presence with very little chocolate. Body is a little on the thin side. I do not recommend this beer.

(650ml bottle) Purchased at Hillside Liquors for around $7. I'm confused - the label states: "designed to last until the last drop" followed up by "pour carefully in a single motion, leaving the last centimeter"? Anyhow, pours a medium frothy brown head atop an opaque black body. Nose of roasted nuts. Flavour is very similar to a nut brown, vanilla notes and minor cocoa nibs finish. Good.

750 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with almost no head. Aromas of cocoa powder and heavily roasted malts. Dry. Flavors of black coffee and nuts. Somewhat acidic bitter finish. DeanF (2464) - Alberta, CANADA - JUN 13, 2013
Very dark body, very modest head that’s gone in an instant. Aroma is of barley swampwater and chocolate from your garbage can. Maybe some boot leather in there, the kind that you dropped that can of paint thinner over a few years back. Flavour is a standard bad stout fare of wateriness with some coffee notes, a bit of chocolate, and just a hint of skunkiness to remind you that it’s a Spinnaker brew. This is another Spinnaker beer that seems to be oh so slightly infected and otherwise substandard in the world of craft beer. Maybe the stuff at their brewpub is better, but either way, I’m not impressed with this brewery. Lagerboy (2206) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 14, 2014
Bomber. Clear deep dark brown, slight ruby hue, fine foamy tan head settles and lasts. Aroma of medium roasted chocolate malt. Thin bittersweet milky chocolate malt taste, some faint coffee. Softer than average carbonation, low hopped, watery body. Smooth and easy, finishes sweet and milky. Not bad... guess I got a gooder! Still: NFL (Not For Lagerboys)
