One-year aged bottle, courtesy of Rob the brewer. One bottle tehre then one put into our luggage as well. An above average fruit beer with Belgian abbey yeast messaging the mouth and soft parts. A good nose of fruit. Well malted, the fruit is right there. Unique. Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JAN 3, 2008
0. 65 l bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. Dark reddish brown color. Strong black currant aroma with vinous, sweet and acidic notes. Sweet juicy and berryish flavor with some acidity and hints of chocolate. A bit one dimensional despite the strength. fiulijn (20427) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 20, 2007

Solid, well brewed, good delicate caramel flavor, subtle red berries fruitness.

Cloudy dark brown color with purple shades. The aroma has a light sourness, more the flavor. Ok, there is some fruit, but there is nothing else interesting here. The aroma has also a light vegetable touch. Weird.
Sampled from 1yr-old bottle at brewpub Dec 2007. Pours nice deep garnet color with little head. Fruit-forward nose with current immediately apparent. Rather complex, with balancing astringency at the end. Malt is also detectable. Some fruit pit bitterness too rounds out all the flavors. Soft palate.

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 11 Nov 2007) Deep ruby colour with brownish notes, brief brownish red head. Fruity, tart nose with dark notes of black-currant. Fruity, tart taste with juicy notes of black-currant and hints of yeast. Alcohol well hidden. Slightly prickly mouthfeel. Nice and summery brew, but I did prefer their raspberry beer. (Bottle) Pours deep copper mahogany. Dark berries in aroma with clear tones of currant and cherries. Some malt and some dough. Tart black currant flavour with an easy malt backdrop. Hints of yeast in the flavour as well. Medium sour with some tart berries lingering in the aftertaste. Medium bodied. cgarvieuk (24236) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 2, 2007
Bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival ... Deep red ... slight (not unpleasent) sour fruit nose ... tart sharp fruit not quite sour ... blackcurrent exploded in mouth a great beer on that alone, but its more than just the fruit explosion. TBone (17442) - Pori, FINLAND - SEP 29, 2007

Ruby red color, no head. Very fruity blackberry aroma. A bit sourish, fruity-berrish flavor. Nice sourish aftertaste. Blackcurrant traces. Good fruit beer.
Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Purple with small pink head. Citric aroma with cranebrries and, of course, black currant. Dryish and medium bodied The berries are very evident, but they never seem out of place. Lightly yeast and quite refreshing. No bitterness. Is this stuff really over 8%??
