Deep red colour, not much head,. Aroma is black currant, blueberries some hops and slight glueish notes. Flavour is black currant, dark berries and quite bitter fruity. Pleasant.
(Stockholm Beer Festival 2007) Bottle. Amber/purple color, no head. Fruity aroma, black currant, other berries, malty. Malty berry flavor, black currant, some spicy notes, sourish and withna nice body. Different and very interesting beer. Oakes (18478) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 23, 2007
Deep purplish burgundy colour. No head. Aroma of black currant, peppery alcohol, pears, candyish malt. Fruit-first, moving towards a muscular alcohol finish. The malts - while clearly candyish - remain in the background and gracefully disassociated from the currant. Nicely balanced. mgermani (1002) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 15, 2007
Pours a dark purple amber with very little head. Aroma of cassis, yeast, and sweet malt. Tastes tart, some hops, dark molasses notes, and quite boozy. Lingering currant & hop finish. Thin body and very low carb. Interesting beer, but again, overattenuated. Needs a bit of body & maybe a head. CapFlu (5129) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 13, 2007
(650ml bottle) Pours a thin tan webbing which disperses off the top of a deep mahogany body. Nose is mildly skunky that doesn’t come across in flavour. Tongue is mildly plum, red wine, tart currants and roasty malt. Average.

Most interesting of the Belgian style fruit beers.
