The taste was smooth for a bitter and the appearance was not clear but a little cloudy. Was a good bitter and looking forward to try their porter. tmalaher (305) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 7, 2016
Tasted on tap at Spinnakers Brewpub in Victoria. Pleasant but not as bitter as it should be. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - AUG 23, 2016
on draft at the brewery, your standard ESB. Roasty, toasty, biscuity. Some light grassy hops, all flavors are very light. mcberko (18434) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 8, 2016
On tap at Spinnakers, pours a hazy orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, some butterscotch and a touch of diacetyl. Flavour is pretty much identical, with butterscotch, a touch of diacetyl and English bready malt. Clean enough, minus the diacetyl. Not great but not bad. On draft and on cask at the brewpub in Victoria. Pours a clear amber copper color, with an off white head. Toasted bread, light grass/hay, watery, and grain. A mild, watery, and non offensive offering.

Cuivre/rouge avec un petit col beige. Du malt anglais et un amertume moyen. Une bonne bière pour un bar, mais rein de spéciale. brokensail (16609) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 28, 2014
Cask @ Spinnakers. The version I tried was dry hopped with Fugles, but I don’t believe that qualifies as a separate listing. Clear amber pour with a thin ring of off-white foam. A lot of bready malt, toast, and fruity esters. Quite sugary, unfortunately. Light grass and earthy hops. Flavor is a touch on the bittern side and slightly astringent. Mild chemical/solvent notes. Fruity (apple and peach) esters, lots of toast, and caramel. Just doesn’t really work. LarryBeast (616) - - JUL 12, 2014
On tap @Spinnakers. Nutty, caramel, mild yeast, roast malt and prominent British hop. Low carbonation, soft mouthfeel. Smooth-drinking, excellent balance with a dryly bitter finish. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 8, 2013
Tap. Pours slightly hazy amber with a small wispy white head that faded to a thin ring. The nose is husky and grainy with some light English hops and some sweet caramel. The flavor is on the sweeter side with some light floral hops, lightly husky finish. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Below average for the style, too sweet for my tastes. Ferris (16105) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 5, 2013
Cask - Toasted malts and toffee. Clear dark brown with a decent off white head. Roasted malts, nutty and some grain. Very smooth and well balanced, not bitterness but no significant sweetness either. Classic English style. Easy drinking.
