Cask at the "Summer of Love" Festival at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. An opaque plum colour with a ring of white head; nutty, toasted aroma; soft pluumy taste with some well roasted malts; and an attractive sour fruit and cinder toffee finish. A great mild.

Cask. Dark ruby pour with ever present head. Solid maltiness, with plenty of fruit to lighten things - blackberry, grape? An oddly light-drinking dark ale. Interesting one.

Cask, The University Arms, Sheffield, UK. Mahogany colour, caramel and some raspberry aromas. Sweet then a mouth filling bitterness that is mellowed by the malt.

Hand pulled (probably) at the Wellington, Birmingham. A bit of tobacco and thin choc here. Rather on the harsh side for a Mild I thought.

Cask-conditioned at the Derbyshire beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 6/12/10. Ruby red in colour with a decent, off-white head. Sweetish, fruity aroma with some powdered chocolate. Flavour was similar with some light bitterness in the finish. Enjoyable.
