JorisPPattyn (10072) - BELGIUM - OCT 11, 2015
Dark brown opaque beer with a small yellowish head, not lasting. Strong roasted and vinous/alcoholic notes with raisins, chocolate and wood. Balsamico, raisins and fortified wine (though I wouldn’t have guessed Porto) in the flavour, coming on very strong. Viscous, rich feel, but not really heavily bodied. Ought to be commercialized.

(bottle) slightly hazy ruby-brown colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of cherries and heavy pumpernickel, with a hint of balsamic vinegar, some yeast, alcohol and chicken teriyaki. flavour is mostly caramel, fudge and heavy pineapple, with a medium sweetness, some more alcohol, cherries and pumpernickel. heavy-bodied with soft carbonation.

bottle, thanks to jonas for sharing. dark brown with a reddish tinge; aroma showing port wine, vanilla, prunes, wooden floorboards; plenty of warming alcohol balanced with light vinous acidity; thin texture. unlike any other german beer i’ve tasted

pivnizub (10842) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - FEB 26, 2014
Bottle:Deep chestnut-amber coloured, presumably hazy, small off-white head, solid fruity-caramelly nose with a distinctive background of wood and vanilla and a dash of port, as expected; solid sweet and slightly tart flavour, full bodied, no doubt; tart and a bit sourish finish, but mainly sweet fruity-vinous and caramelly finish. O.K.O.K.… very good!

Bottle at BKL 2014.
Berry (blueberry, blackberry) aroma, wood, vanilla, a hint barn.
Dark brown with a ruby shine.
Low head.
Feels lighter and fruitier than the base beer, less emphasis on chocolate and roast. Mellow, fullbodied. Well rounded, great example of proper barreling.

3.4
Koelschtrinker (21828) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - FEB 25, 2014
Süß säuerlicher Antrunk, malzig, etwas schokoladig. Deutlich hefig, süffig, weicher als das normale Strong Ale. 9/11/11/10//11
