Don’t fight it, SPITE IT! Our God Damn Pigeon Porter was brewed with our friends from across the pind in mind. We use traditional Englush Amber malt, but being the unruly Americans we are, we put our own happy twist on things. One of our favorite hops, Simcoe was added late in the boil. This delightful Porter will take your mind off the everyday nuisances of living in a big city, especially those f-ing pigeons!

16oz can from Bottles & Cans. Pours a very dark brown with a large foamy off-white head leaving coats of lace. Aroma has big roasted coffee, molasses, light caramel and dark chocolate. Taste is of big chewy roasted malts; coffee, caramel, dark chocolate. Some tootsie roll here, if a more coffee presence was added. A bit stronger than medium bodied, with a bit of alcohol. The blend is solid and the carbonation is soft. Finishes very well blended between bitter and sweet. This is quite good and tasty. The original, and probably the best. 14.3

Sample at Paddy Long’s in Chicago. The beer is a dark brown color with a medium thick beige head that diminishes gradually. Patchy lacing. The aroma is malty with coffee and chocolate notes. Medium boy with flavors of chocolate malt, coffee and subtle hops in the background. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at WOBFest 2016. Pretty much picked it due to the comical name, but it ended up being a nice, light porter with a big chocolate and coffee flavor. Good surprise.
