They can be seen locked to poles and bike racks around the city. Painted all white, ghost bikes mark the location of a cyclist’s death. Chicago’s roads must be shared - be alert and be considerate. Ghost Bike Pale Ale is a tribute to those lost along the road. Remember them with us.

650ml bottle Batch 12. Golden pour, white head. Smell is sweet crackery malt, hard whiffs produce some citrus and herb aromas. Flavor has a nice bitterness, it is herbal, nice grassiness, the malt is there but adds more flavor than sweetness. Tasty brew.

This is one if the best pales I ever had. Spiteful brewing is once again surprising me with a great beer. Very hoppy and bitter ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle poured into a shaker. Lucky batch 13. Pours a hazy gold with minimal head. Aroma of citrus. Tropical fruits and a little caramel. Taste is medium bitter. Loads of citrus and pine with a solid malt backbone and a warming finish. Medium bodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, great. I could dribk it everyday.

Hazy light orange color with a little bit of white head. Smells of orange dominate with some floral notes, yeasty, a little spice. A fairly tame bitter with a bit yeasty, caramel malt, a little bit of sweetness underneath but not much. Even a little bit of spice/pepper at the end. Not bad but the yeast taste is a little overpowering and hurts the balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a semi clear golden copper color with a small frothy white head. Nose is floral with citrus and hops, with lemon and grapefruit predominance. Taste is bitter and hoppy, somewhat light and very drinkable. Finish is dry and bitter, with moderate lingering. Nice. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Pours hazy orange with a bit of frothy head. Not much nose but a little bit of lemon. Malty with a good bit of lemon on the front and then a clean bitter back end. GFY Stout is still my #1 from them but not bad at all.

Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - MAR 11, 2013
22oz bottle from Binny’s Lincoln Park. Batch #12. Pours a lightly hazed, golden colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a really nice lacing. Aroma is crackery pale malts with a nice sweetness and a good amount of juicy, citrusy florals. A slight pine note as well. Flavor is similar. Somewhat sweet, grainy and bready pale malts with a touch of caramel and a nice, juicy citrus floral hopping. Some pines towards the end as this finishes dry and moderately bitter, but a bit sweet from the malts and the juiciness of the hops. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation with a bit of an alcohol note. Overall, a pretty solid IPA. Juicy, bitter, and a bit sweet while staying balanced throughout. Good beer.

22oz bottle, shared by beerpig317. Mostly clear golden orange color. Some fine particles suspended in the body. Thin white head, little lace. Biscuity, almost white-cake-ike malt aroma. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Kind of creamy. Clean, more dry finish. Lightly grassy, light citrusy hop profile. Light bitter. more sweet taste. Good hoppy, lightly resiny, grassy citrusy aftertaste. Nice, balanced, interesting pale ale

Pours cloudy light orange with good head and lacing. Aroma of orange zest with some grassiness and bready yeast. Taste of grapefruit pith with a smooth bitterness. Hint of sweetness that fades quickly and some grain. Finishes dry with a bit of white pepper. Mouthfeel is soft and medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice and balanced.

22oz bottle pour from farmhouse. Golden pour. Hoppy and grapefruit floral taste. A little off. Not in love with it but would have again
