Poured from the bomber, burnt orange with almost no head. Spicy, creamy, a little boozy, really smooth and different, nice high alc.

Golden pour from 22oz bottle at home. White head. Citrus and orange aroma. Taste is juicy, fruity, refreshing - tropical and grapefruit. Yummy

ryecatcher (1474) - Bridgeport, Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 10, 2016
Bomber. Pours a clear, honey-gold, medium off-white head with decent retention. Nose is pineapple, citrus, tropical fruit (yeah... besides citrus and fuckin pineapple), cakey malts. Mouth is medium-full, sharp carbonation, fruity and medium sweet up front, then shifts into dryness, then a pleasant lingering bitterness, some warmth from the ABV. Solid.

Bottled. Has a citrus smell. Clear copper brown. Has a huge mango taste. Light palate. Has a mango orange zest. A little blueberry taste. Excellent imperial ipa.

Pours a medium orange with a thin head on tap at hop leaf. Aroma is dank hops for sure. Flavor is sweet and hits nicely yum. Strong for sure but tasty! Sweet hoppy goodness! This is like drinking hop nectar. Dry bitter finish is a bit off-puting.

tmoreau (4805) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - OCT 13, 2015
Shared bomber poured to snifters, displaying a fairly clear, deep, orangey gold color, with a fair layer of soft white head foam, and spots of lacing. The nose began rather dank, then incorporated ripe citrus as grapefruit & orange, and some tropical scent. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste offered a juicy expression of the aroma notes, plus a citrusy, rind-like, and pithy bitterness that lingered into a somewhat dry finish. Alcohol was present, but not boozy. Nicely crafted DIPA.

The white head fades quickly to a nice lacing presentation. The color is a dark amber. Alcohol is 9.1% again doesn’t taste like a high alcoholic beer. Grapefruit smell little lemon peel. A really tasty double IPA from chicago. Well balanced.

Draft. Nice refreshing dipa on a hot summer day despite the abv, plenty of tropical fruit notes that kept it refreshing.

22 oz bottle from Binnys (Naperville, IL). Picked this up on a whim as it was in the new releases area. Pours a deeper dark copper amber pour, some burnt orange dulled gllow, darker middle and decent hazy pour. A frothy brighter whitish head atop, decent thinner filmy layer, some decent ringer of a head laces small. Aromas are a bit citric, tropical and melon, some gentle citrus, decent florals and watermelon. Some orange, mango, and touches of bubblegum. Jabs of kiwi, guava and papaya jabs are pleasant. A mellow body and maltbill gets covered up largely. Nice, fruity but not overdone. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, some firmer hoppy jabs are fruity, middling bitterness matches mango, tropical fruit and some jabs of starfruit. Mellow citrus, decent floral bitterness compliments with jabs of fruit, bready malts and subtle biscuit. Not sweet, the fruit is middling, not overwhelming the senses as decent to middling bitterness supports well, flows into the backend and finish. Jabs of biscuit, bread, a gentle carmelized feel. This one has a body that is light enough but still supports. Not sweet, with some growing bitterness, orange and touches of tangerine, florals and a bit spicy, biscuity as we hit the backend and finish. While this doesn’t pop or end up boastful, this one flows well, offers an interesting fairly complex hop profile, and gives a bit of toasty bitter life into the backend and finish. Lingering jabs of tropical fruit, medium bitterness. Solid all around.
